You and I are like the 170 million Nigeria football lovers that will always be quick to teach a professional footballer on the pitch and a professional coach what to do to win a football match for Nigeria.

Adeboye by human standard is a PhD holder and rose to become an HOD

Adeboye by spiritual standard is a Theologian and as a result more vast on spiritual matters than you and I

Adeboye has a proven relationship with God considering an avalanche of testimonies of what God has done through him and what God has revealed to him on many occasions which came to manifestation later

Now, by our (you and I) standard, do we know what he knows about this mama? Do you know if God has revealed things to him about her?

Amos 3:7 says ' Surely the Lord GOD does nothing Unless He reveals His secret counsel To His servants the prophets.

If the scripture above is correct, then Adeboye might be in the right direction. Enoch in the bible was human but was so perfect that he did not even die. Elijah was taken by chariot of fire, Moses tomb is not known till today, etc they were all human being like Adeboye, so stop being too skeptical about holiness and spiritual matters.

Except you can prove to me that Adeboye is not a servant of God.

Let's assume there's a "Christian God" up there.

How are you sure Adeboye fully and heartily abides by his teachings and tenets? How do you know he's not an Ogboni in his closet?

You shouldn't let the external aura of even the most religious people taint your judgement and perception about them. Don't be gullible, Nigger.

Now, let's assume he truly "hears" from "God". Isn't it proper and right if he keeps his opinion about such sensitive issue to himself?

And what does having a Ph.D have to do with this matter?

Jaiye jaiye - enjoy life while you can, it's short.

At least, that's what I try to do and I spoil myself all the time with the best things I can get cos no one's promised tomorrow.

When you've cheated death a few times like I've, you'll never take life seriously cos future is an illusion.

Just work hard/smart, enjoy life, pray, do what you think is best, help those you can help, and invest for the dry season. grin

You sound like an atheist.....if so, I owe you a drink.

If not...... If the bible claims that we're all sinners [I find that I like to sin quite a lot], how can someone die sinlessly?

I am a staunch, unrepentant Atheist.

I'll prefer Hennessy. grin

Either there's no God or there's a God who doesn't deserve to be worshiped.

I'll go with my first hypothesis, any day, anytime. There is no God.

The second hypothesis can be succinctly justified from Richard Dawkins quote in his book, "The God Delusion":

“The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully.”

The attributes he ascribed to "Jehovah" can be proven from various verses in the "Holy Bible".

Even if he exists, Why should I worship such a "God"?

Atheist or agnostic?

If you believe God is fake, but that there's something out there greater than us, then you're agnostic.

How did you become an atheist?

I'm Atheist.

I only used the hypothesis to buttress a point. I have always doubted God's existence, even as a kid. Well, I grew from being agnostic to a type of Agnosticism that borders on Atheism...and now to a complete Atheist.

How I became an Atheist? Oro po ninu iwe kobo.

I'll tell that some other time. May be on another thread as I really don't wanna deviate from the purpose of this thread.
