Seriously I can't start reading from page 1 of part 1.
This is part 9. If you have any good info on visa requirements kindly brief it to save others from burning MB.

You don't need to read from part 1. If you start reading today u wont finish reading till next next year. Read posts of some gurus in d house and you should be okay. Read Thesoj, team12, ayooluwatoni, tnuola, siga and others posts. You should be okay coz they have addressed some critical issues on this forum. All d best.

@thesoj and NL HOuse..... Bro I guess you remember the link to the topic below... Bro kindly tell me how long or like how many pages do you think a supervisor request should be? Am actually gathering my experience so far in other to convince my potential supervisor but am bother about how long it should be so that it will not be boring to the supervisor to read.

Please guys kindly share your view on this.

A TIP ON GETTING A SUPERVISOR FOR RESEARCH/THESIS BASED M.Sc and Ph.D

First don't just go and mailed any professor in your department, there is a reason why most of the departments in Canadian Universities list all the names, contact, and research interest for all their lecturers, some lecturers also has website or the website of their lab were they list all their research interest, publications, seminars, previous thesis they supervised, the current work going on in their research lab.

Some (like my department) even go to the extend of listings all their graduate students (both M.Sc and Ph.D) with their thesis topics, their supervisors and publications, some schools also collect the previous thesis and publish them online on their website.

So why am I saying all this?......

Thanks in anticipation for your reply.

Good day
Please gurus in the house, i need advice and guidance. I got conditional admission into Thompson Rivers University with the condition I pay my first semester tuition fee before they can send my final offer letter. I decided to go to any other good, reputable school cheaper than TRU because I can't tell for sure how financial status may be later on as i proceed with the program. I have Simon Fraser University on my least though they don't have exactly the program i want, but the most related one they have is ok for you. Please tell me what you think about Simon Fraser Uni, i will also appreciate if you could recommend a very reputable school with good record that have environmental science/management program with a tuition fee of not more than 6000CAD per annum. Please every gurus here should be advice me on what to do. Thank you

Three to four concise paragraphs. Definitely not up to a full page... no more than half a single-spaced page. You will have the opportunity to send a longer email if the prof responds and asks you follow-up questions.

Send a mail about doing biometric yet not updated on your MYCIC and include the biometric ID number (found at the back print out receipt offered at VFS) to question@cic.gc.ca, they will update your account immediately.

Yes, be patience with them...
Secondly, no try book flight now, wait till you call for medical and pass it with passport request, than you can book any flights you wish...

Congratulation bro, Can you please help me with the sample of your supervisor request. I mean your first email to the prof introducing yourself to him and willing to be a student under his supervision.

thanks and God will make all TRV hopeful come easy.

Jlakeside:
Hello house, I just told the Prof, that i've submitted my application to the admission office and he sent this bolded below.. I dont need to hide anything from where I have gotten so much info from.. I was so naive when applying for US admission and Visa and I couldn't make my worries known to peepz and I died in silence.. But now, I need to share my worries with everyone here.. Anyways,Hope this is a positive message from him?

That’s great.

I have alerted the MSc (MELS) program office of your application so we can keep an eye on it and deal with any small problems should they arise.

The MELS Admissions committee will meet in February, and they will communicate with you (and also me) about whether you were successful in your application.

Best wishes

NB: He perused and edited my SOP, he even wrote that, He and I have discussed about possible research project. And he wrote some other sweet things which I really love on the SOP. He's also the Graduate Coordinator of the program

Thanks for your time gurus

I just got refused last week and now confusion is my name.

confusion would be meaningless without my name but then..

after my medical I got refused due to

1. insufficient fund

2. length of proposed stay

3. purpose of visit and

4. personal asset. wait ooo

5. Even travel history.

- as in ehhnn....

so now the thing is I got admitted into BRANDON UNI. to study nursing(U.G).

I did accounting here and that's just it.

before I applied I was concerned about the change from ACCOUNTING TO NURSING but I waved it for students should have the right to pursue whatever career they want but now I'm thinking differently. To the Gurus in the house, what's your say on this my case and how do I tackle this effectively so I don't get refused again.

firstly.....I used my Uncle's Business Account and not his personal account, It was after my refusal I heard I should have used his personal account and not a business account cos. a business account isn't controlled by one person in the mind of the V/O.

secondly...why did they tick TRAVEL HISTORY.

thirdly...PERSONAL ASSET

I maybe understand why they ticked LENGTH OF PROPOSED STAY because For .NURSING(PRE NURSING) It takes one year to complete the program and that's what I got admitted into. Nursing first year is called pre nursing but the overall study duration is 4years.

while filling my questionnaire form and the study app made outside of Canada, I typed in 1year. maybe, just maybe that's what led to the V/O ticking LENGTH OF STAY.

PLEASE ANY ADVICE ON MY CASE WOULD BE WONDERFUL.
