jln115: The SANDF armoured bridge launchers are just as big and heavy as those of Nigeria, there is a standard or else a tank cannot drive over the launched bridge, anything less than standard to carry 60 ton tanks will collapse. You should pay me for all these free education. The allies use amphibious Sherman battle tanks to swim the sea and break through German concrete bunker and pill boxes that were killing allied infantry like mosquitoes. No army drives everywhere with bridge launchers hoping to meet a river. You buy amphibious armoured vehicle's like Nigeria. |

lionel4power: Bwahaha, there's nothing more sad than a person who imbibes rubbish from a rubbish site, who then vomits it online without a second thought. Your rubbish site is so worthless the author does not even know we are talking about 2020 predictions, which may or may not be. I don't know what's even more laughable: your post or whether you really think Nigeria's economy is worth $1 Trn in 2015. |

jln115:then you've lost the initiative... it's simple bruv... amphibious apc/IFV was built for a purpose. . you cant build a bridge over a lake Chad size water body.. you swim across. . -Your tank destroyers lead the charge. -your APC follows close behind. -you capture the beachhead/Bridgehead depending. -you secure it with dismounted troops. -you construct bridges (if viable) 2 Likes 1 Share |

agaugust:Dude being strong and being heavy are two different things, we also have different Bridge Layers, we have those that are mounted on a Olifant chassis and then when there is a substantial water crossing, we use our SAMIL Pontoon Bridge layers in conjunction with SAMILs carrying V12 Pontoon Boats. Secondly from what were those Shermans lunched?? You guessed it(or Not), from Amphibious assault ships that Nigeria does not have. 1 Like |

Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Nobody: 8:35pm On Nov 26, 2015 |
lionel4power:Dude as i said before, its going to take ages to sail across a massive body of water like that of lake chad when your only moving at 7km/h, And how by driving around a water obstacle have you lost initiative? 1. You dont have amphibious tank destroyers,The Sagaie is not a tank destroyer, unless the enemy is fielding T-34s. 2. Bridgehead yes....Beachhead NO!! You have no means to deploy your vehicles to capture a beachhead, for that you need Amphibious assault ships. 3. Again you would need either artillery or Air-Support when attempting to either cross by building a bridge or to cross amphibiously using APCs and IFVs. 1 Like |

lionel4power:Soon,we will be among the top 10 countries in the world. Much emphasis need to be laid on power, military and diplomacy.Africa suffers from acute power shortage,if in the next 20 years,we can build our power generation capacity over 150,000MW,we will power Africa and seize the continent as a neo-empire. 2 Likes |

Nigeria needs to start building a powerful military that can project power outside Africa in 20 years time; much emphasis should be placed on R&(acquisition of technology in strategic areas of automobile engineering, ballistics, aeronautics and marine engineering, steel and metallurgy,computer/cyber-technology,thermo-nuclear physics, general reverse engineering, advanced pharmaceutical research,bio-warfare and nanotechnology) and a stabilized TRADOC. The military should have 5 national command and control centres(NW,NE,SW,SE and FCT central command); with equipments including fighter jets, missiles, tanks, logistics, helicopters, drones, advanced radars etc stationed in each zone under a single regional commander. Recruitment should be strictly based on merit and skill should determine advancement in military hierachy, anyone without a B.sc and field experience should never be promoted beyond the rank of lieutenant. We should look towards controlling trade activities in the south atlantic ocean in the near future. 1 Like |

jln115:we have 2 landing ship tank.. NNS AMBE and NN ofun . . here's an excerpt from a Sierra Leone newspaper years back. On 02 December 1997 Sierra Leone's military junta accused Nigeria on Tuesday of moving an amphibious tank landing ship and two support vessels into Sierra Leone's territorial waters. A military spokesman said the NNS Ambe and two support ships had anchored 30 nautical miles off the Sierra Leonean coast before pulling back into international waters. "The three Nigerian warships which anchored about 30 nautical miles in Sierra Leone territorial waters have sailed back into international waters from their former position," the spokesman said. fear of invasion. . so you see how we outclass you? we can invade any country in Africa except Egypt, morroco and algeria

lionel4power:Indeed,we will. Nigeria must unite the black world and bring about the era of negros. Imagine what will happen if we can generate massive electric power and use it as one of our foreign policy reagents in Africa; If we can power Africa, then,a Nigerian president wouldnt be only a president in Nigeria, but an emperor of the black race. The best way to gain leadership is by using the most obvious weakness of your target to propagate your own grand agenda, for the greater good of all. |
