Seun & MODs, Moving this thread to culture section is unacceptable. Many Yoruba and friends of Yoruba both home and in the diaspora are learning here and there is no reason to put this thread in an unpopular section. Kindly reverse your decision. |

I've spent more time looking at this thread. It truly started out as a political thread, but then people decided to change it into a thread for all things Yoruba, thus turning it into something that rationally belongs to the culture section. Since people feel strongly about having this thread in the Politics section, I thing the best thing we can do is to refocus it on the original purpose. My humble proposal is to rename this thread as "Yoruba Political News Thread", move it back to the politics section, and put it on the home page. What do you think? Also we will offer amnesty to most of those who broke rule 2 and rule 20 over the moving of this thread, but further violations will not be tolerated. I take responsibility for the politics section situation since I have not said anything to the moderators. |

9jacrip: You know the problem is that, it is now a "secret" group. Our hands were tied when we made that move, but we felt we had reached a tipping point - that junction where quality begins to degrade. In light of some of the disquiet now being expressed here, however, I may have to consider other options. |

Seun: General Seun, have you ever visited Anambra and other SE threads? You need to go there and see what they discuss. It has always been everything Igbo. I have visited the threads, so I know what I am saying. You can visit the threads and see for yourself. If those threads could stay in Politics Section for years, how come ours that is only 5-week old must be moved to Culture Section? If you noticed, none of us ever bothered to open a complaint thread in Politics Section to call you out. We believed it's unnecessary. People have decided to say GOODNIGHT yesterday, your mods have been banning us and hiding names of Successful Yoruba's that we post. We have always repeated such post, we have been through a lot in the hands of your Igbo mods but we decided it's unnecessary to open a complaint thread. Anyway, you are still the Conmmander-In-Chief. So, General Seun, whatever you wish is okay by us. We are at your mercy, if this thread is moved back to Politics Section, then we shall all abide by your rules and good to go. If it remains in Culture Section, then we can say GOODNIGHT. You are a Yoruba. You are supposed to be one of us. Everyone is surprised that we have to beg you to have mercy on us, your kinsmen. It is well. Thanks and Edumare Bless You. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Seun: Welcome idea.. Thank you & now that your attention has been caught, could you kindly enjoin one of your mods to make a post about how to avoid the bot & the words to avoid... It is tiring to type epistle that has no cuss word, isn't insulting or castigating anyone & have the bot swallow it & ban the OP for good measures.... Not everyone likes creating multiple monikers.. Thank you for your co operation.. 1 Like |

OnReflection: I think making it a seceet group has affected its activities some type of way. Its status of being secret should be looked into and other means of sustaining quality should be drawn up sir. Else, the group will die o. Considering other option is a good idea egbon. Whatever you come up with please share with us to see how we can fit in. This group should not die. |

FreeGlobe:You must be uneducated to even compare your Igbo tribe with the great Yoruba race.If you talk about competition, how would a race that is established worldwide compete with a struggling to be known tribe. If you can even make 1/50 of the achievements of the Yorubas then you can thank your stars.Yoruba had never been in your league since time immemorial... Something could be wrong somewhere with Seun but we would not leave an Omoluabi and allow you to ruin him.Anywhere the thread is taken,God will always triumph... Pls,aareonakakanfo,shymm3x,profshymmex...you are our main men,we cannot afford to miss you. 9jacrip: Ogagun 9jacrip, Sadly, that change is irreversible. It was made for a number of reasons which range from the amount of work moderators found themselves taking on to the quality of information being shared, once we exceeded a certain threshold. Bear in mind that we also no control over the algorithm which was advertising it to individuals with a questionable bias. I have written to some of the folks on this thread about "a workaround", in the past, but there was insufficient traction at the time... |

IlekeHD: Yes, you're right when it comes to religion it's about live and let live but when it comes to faith it's about living/depending on God's mind. Therefore, I do not speak about religion I speak about faith which is truly the substance of things hoped for. Remember, I didn't initiate the discussion of 'the bible is confuse' 'I doubt there is God' 'where is the location to heaven.....' you did and I was only responding to clear your mind. I still offer myself to show you the way to heaven since I know you gprs can't show you. Shalom |

Re: Yoruba Commonwealth and Politics by PrincessJaneDoe: 11:02am On Nov 27, 2015 |
Seun: Seun, we have had to change the title of this thread a few times in the past just so that it stays in the politics section. The Igbo threads on the hand have been there for over a year and nobody has asked them to change the title or moved their threads. The content of those threads is not in anyway different from ours. Why then do we have to be the only ones to bend? If you are going to enforce rules, the least you can do is to make it applicable to everyone. This thread is the only reason some of us visit this site. It has even brought some old members back as we have all found something we are interested in, which is the advancement of our group. Please do right by us and move our thread back to the politics section. Cheers. 5 Likes |
