Here goes how the contents look like:

Thanks for your interest in applying for a career with us,we are pleased to inform you that you were successful in our interviews.However,we would keep your profile for future openings as we have met the required numbers of recruitment for this financial year.

I tried to put myself together pretending as if nothing went bad,but sincerely, I really want your opinions on if I should keep hope alive,thinking that one day I'll be called to take up the offer letter or forget the chances I have with the company and count my losses.

There is high chance that you may be called up when there's an opening. Keep in touch with them. By February next year, send them a friendly, polite email asking for update. Send again after like 2 months.

From what i could deduce from the mail, all i can say is "Don't lose hope yet because you're still on track". They will call you someday when you least expect it. Just make sure all your channels of communications with them do not go extinct .

I would have said otherwise if I saw anything similar to..."We wish you the best in your future endeavours" in the content of the mail. In this case, you will later find out that patience is truly a virtue.

Meanwhile, you will do yourself so much good to focus your attention on some other pursuits so you won't develop high PB. If it comes, fine, however, if it doesn't, live continues. No be person die!

By the way, I wish you the best as you engage in other things while expecting positive outcome.

If you were not the only applicant who was invited for the interview,then you may not be the only one who qualify.You may be second or third or fourth or fifth choice.If the first choice is tested and not competent they will call the second till it get to you.

They said they have made their recruitment for THIS FINANCIAL YEAR, in order of hierarchy, Don't worry, your wonderful profile is comfortably with them and it will DEFINITELY be considered for NEXT YEAR'S TAKE. You should be thanking your god that you got a success text and not otherwise.

By the way, I don't see how that text should change your mood. How do you want those that got the ugly text to feel?

You would be called. Reasons for now could either be political or financial. Be hopeful but don't stop trying other places. On the other hand. if the post is a new one, they probably haven't met the requirements for your office.

Pray... trust God.. He is ur sufficiency. ..

I'm also in a similar situation too with Deloittes' HR. I nearly bombarded them with too much mails until they said the same as above.

Just stay hopeful so far they didn't send a regret mail.

Oil companies do take time to get back to people especially employees except when there are urgent business needs. Your file is on one manager's desk waiting for when "body sweet am" to put a message that successful people be called to start.

Start praying that God should touch that your helper.

Keep your phone number on (get a torch light Nokia preferably) and keep the phone 247 with you.

I know someone that passed through oil company training school, and was called for years later... While tiling floor.

Be rest assured you'll be called.

Also pray oil prices increases....it will speed things up.

My dear I had that same issue for 3 years with over 15 companies but now I have worked for 5yrs please don't waist time go on ur knees don't let it last like mine(please don't neglect this message not all that laugh with you are your friends)

@op....many corporate companies do not invite applications or hold interviews every time they have a vacancy. They would take applications...hold interviews and have a list of applications who did well at the final interview. Each time someone quits...or they fire someone for whatever reason... or they need to expand....need additional employees in that department....they would recruit someone from the list. If there were 10 on the list..the longer they take to call..the less would be available since some may be in better jobs...moved... etc and your chance would come sooner. As for now.... move on with your life and don't sit waiting for that call ...but believe you me.... they would call you... you don't need to remind them.

Op u've been penciled down, it's d nature of oil companies, but lookout for other offers pending the time.

my brother, u jst have to still thank God. From the letter I can see they still have ur profile.

They might have taken the max numbers of persons they need but not all will report to work.

Just like me, there is this job I was haunting for. My name was replaced... But, I'm not giving up. As long as God still exists.

Please if you can just start something or even start learning new stuff. Just give it a try but I know money will be the major problem but just start and please keep your pride as a graduate and learn from normal people! Just try and be like a child who want to learn from even the most unlearned people.
