This is still first term so they will turn 10 n 11 as they end Jss2 n Jss3. They will wrote wave @ age 14. My cousin had 2 double promotions n wrote common entrance n he's 12 in ss1 now.

Well i think its okay. I am 20yrs of age, most importantly i am a graduate...Bsc computer science also i am currently serving in Bayelsa state. though you get to feel isolated when people around you are older than you, but u will adapt In a nutshell its a good thing for both the child and the parent. I pray the child gets admission quick when its due time.

Op why are they rushing those kids, when they enter university they will feel it is ok to have sex at the age of 14 or 15. They might feel pressured to do what adults do at that age, just for them to belong. There is no hurry in life. Ebe onye oso ruru ka onye ije ga eru.

My daughter passed her Common Entrance Examination at the age of 8, in Basic 4; she is 12 now and in SS1 at FGGC Shagamu

Suffer later? Well, it depends on the child. I got into high school aged 8, graduated high school aged 14, went to Uni at 15 cos I had to wait to write JAMB, and also got my masters as well. I didn't suffer.

The only side effect was that a lot of my mates in secondary schools who knew my age bullied me as in Junior Secondary. But I got wiser and it stopped in Senior Secondary. So it all depends on the child. Some can handle it, so cannot.

I don't really support it though, cos not all kids can handle it like I do. I won't allow any of my kids to skip grades crazily, like I did.

I'm American so I don't really know how the Nigerian school system works but I know what you wrote is not true. Many of the world's most prominent scholars completed their schooling at an early age. Martin Luther King finished university at 19 and had a doctorate by 25.

The world is on fastlane and the turbo of the new generation education jet is in hyper speed.i could remember a guy in my class in Uni,he was 13 while in 100 level.There is nothing bad with it,infact i wud be happy if my children are entering tertiary at 11.The youngest Professor is 24,so i see no reason why u shd limit ur folk,the faster the better.Even with d spate of No job for 27 and above mantra.

Oga I started high school at 9 finished at 15 as well. Started pre-degree at 16. There is nothing new in all these. It just depends on how strong you are. Besides I grew up in a very thick bad hood and went to a private secondary school. Who born them intimidate me?

I finished secondary school at the age of 14. i can bravely say I faced a lot of psychological challenges despite being intelligent enough to pass my exams as one of the tops of the class. if you parents like, keep pushing your children too fast, when the boomerang returns, blame the devil, the government, the society but never yourselves.

it depends on the individual. I wrote SSCE at 13yrs entered university at 14 though psychologically it wasn't easy for me to cope. I excelled well in academics but interacting with people was not funny cos I still acted childish.

My twins are 10yrs old and are in jss3 thanks to common entrance. Though they had a double promotion while in basic 3 and jss1. The school said they were too brilliant(smart) for their age.

All I know is that my child is not going to uni before he/she is 16.
