lezz: My Lecturer oneday told us that there is no one in the world that can precisely tell if SA is developing or developed because it has characteristics of both. SA however has a large and huge infrastructure. The problem is that SA is always compared to Europe and not Africa. They don't look at how many countries in Africa have tap water. They don't look at how many countries in Africa produce 24hrs power. They don't look at how many countries in Africa have military equipments that SA have. They look at how many countries in Africa can afford to give jobs to their nationals. They fail to even see that the largest slum in Africa according to your words has better hospital than Lagos. That largest slum has train stations, Malls, and houses are being build there everyday. SA is judged according to European standard as always. 3 Likes |

mzilakazi:Stop weeping and wipe your tears. This isn't a recount of Soweto'76 so stop the theatrics - you speak about job. But 1in 4 south African is jobless. It is a whooping 25% joblessness for S.A. my boy, that's your trademark for developing countries. -40 percent of south Africans are poor according to world bank -there is water shedding in south south Africa as your country has recorded riots for drinking/domestic water that resulted in deaths -Your electricity is epileptic as candles and desiel generators were used to power your industries, hospitals and wealthy homes due to eskom failure. What's more the plants under construction has been delayed for over 2 years because of lack of technical know-how. Yeah, Zulus coudbt put up a power station for over 2 years. - Your milirary? your troops went to CAR without basic things like tents. Which developed country does that.? Your military is a heavy import dependent military. When south Africa was in the apartheid era, and the country was divided into two. That part occupied by Boers and Brits had a slight semblance to Europe. After 1994, when you folks from Zulu natal came out of your endless slums from khayelitsha and Soweto, you changed the game. You were peeing on paved floors in the open, when your half-literate Zulu president was building open toilets all over the place. That's why south Africa sits firmly on the front lines in the conference of third world countries. Once again, this is a list of 3rd world countries 2015 1 Like

lezz: SA is judged according to European standard, that's all. - SA unemployment is high but the whole of Africa is running to SA as their safe haven. -SA now has over 6 months producing power undisturbed. LOL!!! No more load shedding. - Our military uses over 70% of locally made equipments and weapons. -There is.no such thing as open toilets. That's what we call media sensationalism. Those toilets were meant to have walls built around them. There were two separate contractors. One was responsible for fitting in the pipes and the toilets and the other was to construct the walls around the toilets. |

mzilakazi:What an irony, Africans are running to S A for job opportunities and ALL YOUR COMPANIES ARE RUNNING OUT TO NIGERIA FOR SURVIVAL. Common, everyone knows Zulus don't/can't work. They are dependnet on welfare and ANC food stamps. Immigrants are taking up jobs that Zulus know nothing about. So be thankful for them, south African would have become bankrupt like Greece. And what NONSENSE are you talking about those S.A tradmark toilets? That's south Africa's culture in display here. Cant you see how comfortable that lady looks. She's used to defeacating in the open as cars go by. ****modified**** Still enjoying the view? While you're at it, give me one developed country that defeacats in the open like almighty South africa

Patchesagain:It is the moment that any host dreads. In the beach resort of Durban this week, South Africa will be straining to keep up appearances for bigger, wealthier patrons – China, Brazil, Russia and India – in the feverish hope that it's worthy of a stop on their social circuit. The "big five" of the developing world, flag-bearers of a new world order known as the Brics, will be meeting on African soil for the first time, but doubts linger over whether the host is quite deserving of its place at the top table. South Africa is the newest and smallest member of what used to be the Bric. Its population is 50 million compared to China's more than 1 billion, and its GDP ranked only 28th (now 30)in the world. By contrast China is 2nd, Brazil 6th, Russia 9th and India 10th. South Africa accounts for just 2.5% of the Brics' GDP, according to Standard Bank research. Even within Africa, South Africa's growth – wracked by high unemployment and industrial unrest – is sluggish compared to many of its neighbours, and its crown as the continent's biggest economy is under threat from Nigeria. A year ago Jim O'Neill, the global chairman of Goldman Sachs Asset Management who coined the term "Bric", told South Africa's Mail & Guardian newspaper: "It's just wrong.South Africa doesn't belong in Brics. South Africa has too small an economy. There are not many similarities with the other four countries in terms of the numbers. In fact, South Africa's inclusion has somewhat weakened the group's power." He added: "South Africa has to stop feeling sorry for itself and be doers instead of talkers. When your country first introduced inflation targeting about 15 years ago and I sat with some of the policymakers, I was big on South Africa. I'm not now. Over the past few years South Africa has lost its focus." |

mzilakazi:Thanks, but all you're one of Africa's biggest arms and weapons importers. Your defence industries can produce mraps and co but your real deal are all from Europe. Even maintenance is carried from Europe. Are we clear now? |

Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by mzilakazi(m): 8:33pm On Nov 29, 2015 |
lezz: Are you not ashamed to tell lies? You are contradicting yourself. You have just claimed our military is in a mess and now you are promoting us to the position of Egypt by claiming that we import weapons than any country in Africa. I really would have loved it if SA was really the biggest arms importer in Africa. |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by lezz(m): 8:34pm On Nov 29, 2015 |
mzilakazi:Tell that crap to your press. All I wrote up there are from your own press. Tell me how do you open your doors for a visa free movement for BRIC members and NONE OF THEM HAS EVEN BOTHERED TO RECIPROCATE? Because S.A knows when more than anyone else they are simply not qualified. China only invited you to have access to your raw materials. End of story. So south Africa will always act desperate . |

mzilakazi: You might have a little idea about housing in Nigeria here. We don't give free houses in Nigeria. We pay for houses over a long period of time. https://www.nairaland.com/1894158/lagos-state-pride-south-west/0 Later I will post a little on Abuja. So you can compare standard of living with South Africa where people can't provide shelter for themselves. |

mzilakazi:Read my post again, I said South Africa is one of Africa's biggest arms importers. Not the biggest. You're really, really slow. Not only is your attention span quite short, your comprehension is greatly impaired too. Your sub's are all imported and serviced by Europeans As are your jets. You orders most of your military vehicles from Scandinavia. You're still the fool of this thread. I can't forget you. |
