I'm so loving this confusion. It's obvious that the pole voted for the candidates and not the party. I wonder if the pples choice matters in who their governor shd be or the parties are left to decide the future of the pple of Kogi state.

In my opinion, a rerun of the election who be the best option for the state rather than stealing a dead man's vote.

Ohikere is not far from the truth. why is it that it was only when the news of audu's death broke that the inec declared dekina which is one of the largest lg in kogi state inconclusive. looking deep into this situation one would see it's a clear conspiracy from the top to uphold their Islamic agenda. the simple thing here in my opinion is to allow James audu's running mate to conclude the election at least to honour Audu if they ever saw him as their candidate. this is going to rupture the little peace in kogi state. the presidency should neutrally wade into the situation before it degenerate to an awkward situation. there are already too many problems in the country and we can't afford to add another. silly me, I forgot Mr presido is in Malta enjoying malta Guinness.

There are two side to this story! If his running mate is giving d ticket then PDP have a very good case because d running mate did not take part in the primaries (as was d case dat brought amaechi to power where d supreme Court held that he was the d winner simply because omehia did not take part in d primaries) and late Audu was not declared the winner because elections were inconclusive. So I they give d ticket to His running mate slowly but surely then have given wade a second tenure because it only take time before d supreme Court rules in favour of PDP.
However if they so want faleke as d governor then APC should hold another primaries urgently where he faleke should contest and party big wigs should support him to win the primary else it should be given to yahaya Bello for d simple reason that he has d second highest vote.

The claim by faleke camp that he be declared d winner is on heard of an one begins to wonder if the lawyer that wrote that letter understands what it means to be duely elected. Faleke would have made that claim had inec not declared election in conclusive.

Let the one with the blessings of the gods win. It's my prayer that the people of kogi state come out strong at the end of this trial.

Elevating Faleke and finding a Deputy for him is the right thing to do. Replacing Audu with his son in a democracy is unacceptable.

This is a test of APC/Buhari's integrity and their success or otherwise will determine how I view them going forward.

Audu's death is a "force majeure". And since all electoral requirements were fulfilled by Audu and Faleke before the commencement of the election, Faleke should be allowed to conclude the race in the interest of fairplay, equity and justice. Yahaya Bello who is the new entrant in the race should be Faleke's running mate. Period.

APC fulfilled the electoral requirements before the commencement of the election proper. With the death of Audu which is a "force majeure", Faleke should suitably take Audu's place while APC add a running mate to Faleke. QED.
