Director of Biafra is going to spend months in jail. All this noise called protests will amount to nothing
Exactly what Gowon said, "I will crush Biafra in 2 months." U know the rest of the story. This protest was avoidable. But Buhari wouldn't listen.

Guys...make no mistake, the only reason why revolution occurs in some countries is because the police and soldiers don't believe in shoot at sight and stray bullets.

Here in Nigeria, you know our forces are trigger happy....when they place a 24 hrs curfew and you cross the boundary...your friends will use you to learn lessons.

The only reason the helicopters with Nigerian flag flew yesterday was to a warning by the airforce about who controls the air space. The message was that the. Next time you see them on air, it may be to drop bombs.

The old men and women would have quickly understood that message which is a reminiscence of the 70s...

For your info...unlike in 1970 when Ojukwu had more than 60% control of the Nigerian Army as Ibos....which made the govt recruit many Hausa young men into the army without even school certificate....today...the biafran army have no weapons whatsoever.

The worst you can do is a guerrilla warfare like book haram...and trust that you won't get any international collaboration from Isis or Iisrael.
You don't sound intelligent to me. Do you think to quench civil unrest with brute force is the way to go? If the govt apply force rather than dialogue, then they will be digging the grave of a united Nigeria. So you think if this crisis spiralled out of control than the Nigerian army can quench it? Ask yourself why has the Syrian govt unable to quench the Syrian crisis after all these years. Even using the Nigerian experience, was the Nigerian military able defeat the militants? Do you think if not for the amnesty that there will peace in the Niger delta today? Just chill, nobody wants the IPOP agitation to get out of hand because when it does, Nigeria and Nigerians will be the loser. It is easy for people like you who talk anyhow probably from the comfort of their homes to be wishing for war

The British made such boneheaded and boastful comment about the war not lasting more than two weeks in 1967 to encourage Nigerians and the war lasted for almost three years. The Nigerian army never had its way with group of drunks known as Boko Haram talk less of a nation state. I guess most Nigerians aptly reflect the situation of the zoo called Nigeria.

Don't be fooled. IPOB is seriously disadvantage to start any armed struggle unlike the time of ojukwu. 1. Ojukwu was controlling the eastern region then with access to weapons. 2. Ibos are all over the country with lots of vested interests. 3. No visible or known support from other countries and IBO leaders.

The carnage that will be experienced by the ibos will be much more than 1967. The struggle died on arrival with someone like nnamdinnamdi KANU as the leader.

He can't be released because he had ignite fire with his mouth
OK keep on holding him, very soon people like you maybe affected by the violence that may follow. Had it been that Buhari applied diplomacy by inviting prominent Igbo leaders for a secret meeting on how to reach out to Nnamdi Kanu without the media knowing, do you think this Biafra agitation will this vociferous! If you like keep on underestimating them, but when the violence hits home then you will know how far. This is how Boko haram started.

How is it avoidable, the people say they want to leave, even if you release Kanu today, the protest will still continue
agree to a referendum, schedule it for 2017 and watch the protest die down. Anyone with half a brain should know this, but most black men don't even have half a brain

Nnamdi Kanu is only looking for cheap publicity, all this your agitation will only lead to destruction of your region like the late Ojukwu did, you guys can only moan in your region Nigeria can't disintegrate, so my fellow Nigerian, let peace rain.

At least if you didn't experience this, you were told by your father or mother what happened then, so you guys should use your brain for what will better this nation.

Biafra! Do you know?

Despite what I have to assume is good intention on your part by posting those pictures, you have to realize you're only stoking their anger. Imagine an armed robber showing you pictures of your kids he'd gunned downed himself. Would you feel intimidated or enveloped with a suicidal anger?

It is true there is never a smoke without fire, and that the government should address the reasons for the demonstrations, but these people should stop shaming the igbo people.

I mean, civilian rule in Nigeria is barely 16 years old, how old is Nigeria? Are they considering long term goals at all? Do they not even stop to envision Nigeria at 200 years old and counting, like America?

It's embarrassing. I'm not saying their actions aren't for a cause, but rather than the government to ignore it and just term these guys "troublemakers", why not reach a consensus and try to better relations??

It's annoying that a bunch of crazy individuals are standing, in deciding my fate as an Igbo person, when I want no part of the craze. The US only just got its first black president in the 21st century, since the 18th century of its inception!

Can we not be patient and look at long term goals? Invest those efforts into making the tribe better and respected! Believe me, Nigeria will vote an Igbo person into office if they saw an individual credible enough! Good market sells itself!
There's hardly anything the government can do about these guys. These guys on the street are simply protesting over Buhari winning the presidency; forget anything else they tell you, they are simply very pissed that an Hausa man displaced GEJ from Aso Rock and they believe the best they can do is to destabilise the country to make life difficult for Buhari and APC (they believe the APC used bokoharam to make Nigeria ungovernable for GEJ and they believe they are retaliating for GEJ). The only thing that can stop these protests is if Buhari steps down (which we all know isn't going to happen).

I only just pity what becomes of the economy of the south east and reasonable Igbos (like myself) who dont support this foolishness.
