basbone: Bros nothing is left untouched in a struggle for survival. Countless number of churches have been burnt down in northern region and hell did not freeze. |

eminikansoso:If there is an iota of truth to this, Nigeria is about entering a long night of another civil war. We should consider the mental capacity of Muslims. A fool's sword is sharper than his brain. Expect the burning of 100 churches in the next 24 hours. Religion is a scam. |

Bevista: Must everybody be on the wheels of a locomotive? There are some person in the engine room firing up the coal. All of them are focused on one thing, thus, realization of Republic of Igbo land or reconfigured Biafra. What is there too much to ask for? |

Duru1:No! You should be here in the thick of things. When the statistics will be rolled out in future, then I would like you to be part of it. When the tabloids report "100 killed", you think it sounds like child's play because you or yours are not involved. Be careful what you wish for pal. When you throw stones in the market, you never who'll be the victim. |

This is how bad things start. So IPOB what do you suppose will happen to your brothers and sisters in all the nooks and crannies of Nigeria? I hope your Director has sufficient supplies of food and logistics for the war he is blindly leading you to start. Remember during the Biafran war you had control of the sea ports and yet could not get sufficient food to execute the war. Now you are a landlocked country and I hope you know what you are doing. Don't come and start crying genocide and starvation o. Your Director is calling for arms and the destruction of other tribes and you people are playing the victims by saying HE DID NOT DO ANYTHING WRONG BY DECLARING WAR ON THE COUNTRY NIGERIA! Now you are already touching on a very volatile issue by burning mosques in Onitsha you are indirectly killing your own people in the already blood thirsty north! I hope a sane voice will prevail on the collective sensibilities of the Biafran people. I know some of you will rant and curse me but it is good you take a look at the counter perspective and the implication of a war in these times. I am an ardent listener of radio Biafra and I hear how your leaders out of youthful exuberance whip up deadly sentiments among the so called foot soldiers. They speak rashly and very immaturedly too. You should be careful to define the war you want to fight. Are you fighting a religious war or a political war or even a tribal war? May God help the innocent families that will be exposed to unneccessary danger because of the selfish oil-driven ambition of a few irrational minds. My Igbo people, no section of Nigeria enjoys the country now but patience and hope is still keeping us going. Please lets look beyond our noses at the far reaching implications of a tribal war! 4 Likes

Apparently, many Nigerians have been programmed to believe that a particular group of people have monopoly of violence. Some folks have been burning churches at the slightest or no provocation since time immemorial, and we're yet to see snakes walk for that reason. Heck, many churches were burnt down and lives lost in Nigeria some time ago because an artist faraway in Norway printed Mohammed cartoons. |

But they were not burnt because they belonged to Igbos but Christians. Igbos are not the only Christians in Nigeria so it is a different thing entirely. It very bad and evil as well! Duru1: |

This is what happens when a President is silent on very important issues. The silent treatment doesn't work here and the arrest of Kanu will really take this thing very far. There are simple ways to handle people like that without anyone knowing what happened to him. Buhari needs to step up. The Fulanis are killing and he's being quiet about it. The IPOB youths are going mad and he still thinks silence is the best solution here or even threats. Not even a statement to address any of the issues. Only interested in his corruption war. What a shame. |

Reyginus: Some folks have done worse. However, I'm supporting the actions of the IPOB. But as you know - some evils are necessary, lest a good person is choked to death. |

sochima1989: Why would any reasonable fellow think of war or fight because few individuals have decided to leave the house built by the British? I am not scared of anything in my zeal to achieve Republic of Igbo land or reconfigured Biafra. I do not want to fight those people who want to remain in Nigeria. I cannot fathom why these dumbass Nigerians have not taken war to Republic of Benin because they our brothers and sisters. Republic of Igbo or reconfigured Biafra will not bring any other form of influence to Nigerians as Ghanaians or Togolese do. I personally do not have brother or sister outside Igbo land and do have intention to have one in the future. |

ecotwins: Per the bolded, who gives a ratass about the nonsensical crap. Do you want to revisit the pogrom of 1966? Please be informed that today is neither 1966 nor 1967. You have brothers and sisters that reside in Igbo land or what IPOB considered Biafra. |

Re: Why Burning The Mosque In The Name Of Biafra by Nobody: 4:03pm On Dec 02, 2015 |
iconize:I don't think this one is necessary. I mean if really a mosque was burnt. There's no sense in it. You are simply agitating for freedom and not against Islam. Why not wait to get that freedom and ban Islam? I'm not against any one protesting. I'm simply against termination of people's right because you are protesting. Why block the head bridge yesterday? Who suffers? Why stop people who do not share the same passion from doing what they want to do? I just hope the government find a solution to quell down the violence that accompany it. And KANU shouldn't be harmed. My annoyance is that the government is not taking these things serious. No show of remorse for any life lost or any threat to life and the people have become the same. |

@Duru1, I think you have to stop commenting on this issue. You are living outside the country far away from war zone. You are calling for rains when you fully know it is not going to touch you when it falls. |

sochima1989: Another wise Igbo spotted Exactly my thoughts. How can you chant war songs and then play victim card when you are engaged? Most biafrans threaten to burn down the zoo daily but run here again crying of police killing them and genocide the next minute. Some even try to take out their anger on other tribes. I'm in total support of anyone wanting to opt out but for anybody to threaten to kill and then wail of being killed later on is foolish |
