mzilakazi:Asking random civilians who are disgruntled with the current government if they think corruption has gotten worse.....What do you think they are going to say? Anyway according to Transparency International, who rank more than a 160 countries, ranked South Africa 67th least corrupt country in the world, Nigeria on the other hand ranked 136th....and neither South Africa or Nigeria have ever been anywhere close to the most corrupt countries in Africa. So don't worry mate!! 1 Like |

iblawi: South Africans and Nigerian are more willing and less fearful of talking about Corruption, we see any form of corruption as a bad thing, and that's why we're so high up, unlike in actually hardcore corrupt Countries where the citizens see it as a normal thing. |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by DieVluit: 2:05pm On Dec 02, 2015 |
Centrifude: The question that was asked was this: "Do you believe corruption is getting worse in your country?". South Africans who were surveyed answered yes. It's a barometer survey that really means nothing. This is a ranking of countries whose citizens believe corruption is getting worse. It is NOT a ranking of the most corrupt countries.

http://m.timeslive.co.za/local/?articleId=15965166 SANDF Rooivalk attack helicopters have launched multiple attacks on Islamic-linked rebel forces in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. The Ugandan separatist Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) have been behind a spate of massacres at schools‚ hospitals and villages in the region.South African National Defence Force troops are in the area as part of a United Nations-backed peacekeeping mission to restore stability to the eastern DRC. The attacks by the SANDF late yesterday were carried out despite the DRC government trying to forbid the UN's actions.Reports indicate that the helicopters caused considerable damage to several of the rebels' bases‚ although exact losses of ADF personnel are unknown. 6 Likes

DieVluit: Your very own source says Nigerian soldiers fought off Bokos and the Bokos ran away, your own source has ruined your argument completely, you shöt yöurself in the foot "The civilian fighters held Gulak town after soldiers ran away Sunday night until the military sent reinforcements who fought off the extremists former council chairman James Ularamu told The Associated Press." http://www.usnews.com/news/world/articles/2015/11/30/boko-haram-destroys-nigerian-military-base-107-troops-mia You don't care about who won the battle because it was Nigerian army that won, so envy and shame is eating up your liver by now . |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 3:20pm On Dec 02, 2015 |
Patchesagain: Old time retired or dead apartheid white army fought Namibia, not these new SANDF of black Soweto boys 99% of whom have never killed a rat with rifle and bullet since the day they were born....LOL....SANDF has ZERO experience of urban warfare that they practically fought, not in demo videos of public image making. The currently experienced armies of modern day African urban warfare are those of Kenya, Uganda, Algeria, Nigeria. South Africa is NOT in that elite league. |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Centrifude(m): 3:23pm On Dec 02, 2015 |
DieVluit:I know the Survey was based on random opinions and not actual facts. I was just mentioning that Nigerians and S.Ans are more fearlessly inclined to talk about the issue of corruption, and that why we ranked so high. |

Patchesagain: Past event that has changed, Last year old videos of Gwoza town that is now controlled by Nigerian army. All those Bokos are now dead, they paid with their lives for infiltrating Gwoza town, we made them pay with their lives, their wives are now widows and their children Fatherless courtesy of Nigerian army bullets. Whose flag flies in that town in your videos today? Whose flag? We all know Seleka's flag flies in Bangui where SANDF is afraid to ever go back and redeem their bastardized national pride . 1 Like 1 Share |

ssaengine:If the Rooivalk hasn't proved its worth by now, I don't know what will!! Apparently there are 2 countries( excl SA) interested in the Rooivalk, and if I remember correctly a minimum order of 75 units is necessary to restart production. Personally I feel Denel should partner with an African country as well in developing the Rooivalk 2, and when I say African country I specifically mean Nigeria, they are in need of a dedicated Attack Helo and have the financial and industrial resources to partner South Africa in producing the Rooivalk 2. Opening a production facility in Nigeria could also possibly open a new market for the Rooivalk in North and West Africa. The 2 countries interested in the Rooivalk(possibly Brazil and Malaysia) will most likely result in an order of 40-60 units, SAAF could do with another 20 Rooivalk and Nigeria would also be looking for 20+ units, thus we have a minimum of 80 orders and a maximum of about 100 units, enough to restart production |

agaugust: 1. Those "old men" passed on the knowledge they learnt through training 1a. A man who was 17 in 1989 is how old now? 2. Zero experience in urban warfare? “I remember when I signed up in 1993. There was a lot of violence in the townships in Johannesburg. We were deployed in Thokoza where there was a lot of fighting between the ANC and the Inkatha. There the ANC fighters would run, shooting wildly towards us as they ran. But we were trained, we have discipline. So we just shot “tsup tsup, tsup tsup”, like that”, he said, pointing his fingers like a rifle. “Those were good days,” he continued. “Exciting days.” 3. We have the most advanced training facilities and training equipment in Africa. Training > Experience Now the facts remain unchanged: We have fought insurgencies (Namibia) And we were able to stop any towns from being taken - and stop SWAPO (PLAN) from establishing any permanent bases in South Africa. Just because you fail does not mean we fail! 1 Like |

agaugust: 1. Your men ran like the cowards they are 2. Bangui is not part of South Africa. We were prepared to retake the town but the local Regional Bloc would not support us. We did not run With 400 men in Cameroon and soldiers wearing womens clothing and video evidence of men running away you should not be talking about bravery |
