Why Gazidis? it's not like we are madrid where it's the management that makes all the decision when it comes to signing, is it?....Wenger has a say. He is just beign arrogant as you rightly pointed.
edi287:

I actually think Gazidis has done well. Thanks to him, we've gotten some great sponsorship deals.
Its Dick Law that needs to bounce...that slowpoke sucks at negotiating Transfers.
Gazidis and Dein excelled in their own rights, but while Dein pushed for titles and player development, Gazidis wanted Arsenal to be among the financially stable clubs.

Dein gave us titles and world class players, Gazidis gave us stability and world class stadium.

What I am saying is ''thank you'' to Mr Gazidis but we need titles again just as Dein gave us.

Real wanted 25m, we offered 23m. Napoli fresh with Cavani money, offered 31m.
Same with Mata; he had a buy out clause which wasn't that much, yet we still tried to haggle that till it expired and Chelsea came with double.
The Higuain deal is most frustrating because we would've gotten him for 6m less than Napoli paid for him.
I concur.

Dick Law is one hell of a dickhead isn't he?

We could have both- just sack Law.

Is it D Law that has the money?

He can only recommend

The final decision is made by Kroenke who uses Money ball

He will not budge

Napoli stole into the deal with a larger offer.. Real needed the dough...

Kpomkwem!

Well... similar too with Mata

Nope

Dein sold his shares to Usmanov and left the company because Fisman did not like Usmanov

Gazidis came much later about 2012 from the US to help the club with commercial deals.

Wenger was the defacto CEO with Fiszman for the four or five years

When Fisman died, Stan bought all the shares and brought Moneyball

Law is incharge of Transfers. Even if he isn't, there's no way in the world that Kroenke will refuse to sanction a 25m transfer yet agree to a 40m one for Suarez and 42.5m for Ozil.
D Law is worse than Woodward. They're both slow.

hahahaha.. you are making assumptions

Don't forget Wenger too is a factor

If he feels a player is overpriced, he will overrule D Law

Dein was a vice chairman and an executive in charge of transfers

Gazidis is just a commercial guy

Wenger is still in charge of transfers

I think Dein messed up by not supporting the building of Emirates.
He failed to see the bigger picture and advantage of having a bigger Stadium. We had already outgrown Highbury anyways and Dein would've helped in raising investment for a new stadium (something which usmanov did not give a toss about).

True there is the Wenger factor and this is where Dein would've come in handy. In the case of the Higuain transfer, Wenger could say its expensive and Dein will tell him not to worry about that.
Its ridiculous for Wenger to determine how much we can spend on a player. That should have nothing to do with him.

Well usmanov has been frozen out and we have now paid off the stadium (almost)

Wenger is the defacto CEO

He sanctioned the employment of Gazidis

nope..dein wanted us to win d epl or ucl b4 leaving Highbury so we can generate at least half of d money instead of been in debt..
Nd we were close, we may av achieve it if dein av stayed but Wenger been over ambiguous convinced d board he can still lead d club to top flight football every season till d debt is paid.
Remember he also have share, so he av d right to disagree with some of d decisions d board take.
As for hugain nd mata its Wenger's fault...
For him to pay such money for özil nd sanchez

Thanks for the education.

But, Gazidis took over Dein's role in 2008, Dein left Arsenal in 2007. Gazidis was brought in to see us through the debt which he did perfectly with AW keeping us in the UCL and selling our talents.

Dein left because he did not want to compromise our title ambitions for a new stadium, he wanted foreign takeover especially from Usmanov (he eventually sold to Usmanov and began heading his interest in Arsenal for like 3years).

If Dein had his way, Usmanov would be owner and we would not have gone 10years without winning the EPL.

Thanks for d clarification on the timelines

Well...you can't say if arsenal would have win EPL but a better chance

The stadium move is a good move...and I support it however that is not the only reason for the uncompetitiveness

Yes, a new stadium did actually make us bigger than Spurs and even Chelsea.

You were right about Kroenke, I suspect that guy is not a football fan and gives no hoot about us winning titles. He loves AW because he saves him money.

This season provides a huge opportunity with Chelsea out of the mix and Leicester easy push overs.

In d end, Wenger is d culprit ....d mumu board over trust him, so tey he Dan day over use am....
because he fulfill his promise wen d stadium debt was been paid doesn't mean we shdnt compete wit d best...d board needs to let him know he's not fully in charge oo, good riddance...
BTW Dortmund nd alt. Madrid ain't rich untill klopp nd Simone got dere respectively
So wetin d man do way be new thing
Every season we are always close until his arrogance nd self centered ruin it....
Dis season, we didn't even wait till its Feb ..
Afc shd be d best club in epl, we got everything...

Nothing will happen

All players will come back in Feb/March LIKE A NEW SIGNING

(LANS)

811 INJURIES IN 11 YEARS.. shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked
Since the 2003/4 season the North London club have been hit with 831 injuries – or an injury every five days.
And betting site Paddy Power have pointed out that 'there’s an average of 47 injuries a year in Spanish bullfighting events – an average of an injury every eight days. Yes that’s right, it’s statistically better for your health to choose bullfighting over playing for Arsenal.'

'Sanchez is adamant he felt fine. If I have to take the blame I do. It was not an obvious mistake. But Wenger has defended his side's medical record. 'We have tests. We have medical tests. We are quite sophisticated in testing our players. I had a chat with Sanchez after the game. We test them every week.'

AS USUAL, You lot will just come here to moan about things without considering what the reality is.

If the injuries are Wengers fault, then by now LvG and Pellegrini should be hung and quartered for their squads....

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/6777100/arsenal-do-not-have-worst-premier-league-injury-record.html

ARSENAL’S injury woes have been blamed for the club failing to win a single Premier League game in November — but new data has revealed that Arsene Wenger has had it easy compared to Manchester City and Manchester United this season.

Arsenal players have picked up 24 injuries since August, which slightly exceeds the league average of 20.45.

But City have had to cope with an eye-watering 35 injuries since their opening day win against West Brom.

Key players such as Vincent Kompany, Samir Nasri, Sergio Aguero and even goalkeeper Joe Hart have struggled to maintain fitness, but City have been able to perform more consistently than Arsenal and currently lead them by two points at the top of the table.

Manchester United, with 29 separate injury complaints, have also lost more players since the start of the season than the Gunners, whose injury concerns have only become a notable concern in more recent weeks.

Wenger has 10 players ruled out for Saturday’s match against Sunderland — the second highest figure in the Premier League after Bournemouth — with Francis Coquelin, Danny Welbeck and Tomas Rosicky not expected back until 2016.

But the total sum of days Arsenal players have lost to injury stands at just 312 days — the seventh lowest figure in the league.

It is also far lower than Arsenal’s figure at this stage last season, which stood at an incredible 1278 days, and puts Wenger under even more pressure at the Emirates.

Newcastle United are the unlucky team that tops the ‘days out through injury’ table, and injuries have undoubtedly contributed to the Magpies making their worst ever start to a Premier League season....................................................................................

Clearly the Medical team are doing such a bad job that the injuries are decreasing Year on Year.

Ukwu Sample supportership.
