Its only in Lagos you see people hawking pillow in traffic, knives and other household items but this has taken another dimension. Coming back from work today, O saw this man hawking a dog in traffic. Going from car to car advertising.

It's also a common thing in Abuja especially at Airport junction.

This is not new. I grew up around the Airforce base area in Ikeja, close to the international airport in Lagos. Back in the 90s, on that airport road, you'll find people selling dogs, monkeys, baboons, birds etc and many foreigners patronize them. I don't know if it's still the same today, but try that road if you need anything weird in bad traffic.

I remember when my Brit boss first visited Nigeria in 2013 and we were riding in the same car to a meeting in Ikoyi. He was surprised seeing people sell all manner of wares (including pepper) in traffic. He said newspaper was understandable but found other items being sold strange. It was funny.

though its a honest living but dog!!! common man i might buy many things in the traffic but definitely not a dog. how does that work out? you just see the guy and suddenly realise you forgot to buy a dog at your place of work so you just buy this one and take home.
