#BIAFRAN VETERANS STORM ABA STREETS IN PROTEST

These are war veterans who fought the Nigerian Biafran war which lasted between 1967-1970. These men who were seen in their numbers took to the streets in Aba demanding the restoration of the Republic of Biafra and release of Nnamdi kanu, the leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra. This is coming as some persons are thinking that the protesters are youths who are mostly born after the war, but the current protest by the war veterans themselves will add vigor to the struggle. They fought the war, and they are still protesting, one of the spectators said.

fought wetin? People that ensured that my fathers generation to be almost wiped out. If not for truce and gowon's maturity, our fathers might not have survived it. We should be thanking gowon for accepting the surrender.
