Hello Zhukafa, How much can i hold with me if i am going to Cotonou for pleasure? I might spend like 4days. I am not with my passports either. How much do you advice i go with being a first timer. I would want to have fun as well without getting stranded. I would appreciate a breakdown sir. Like transport fare from Mile 2, how to cross the boarder with no passport, what cheap hotel to stay and all the cool places to have fun. Thank You.

Well the only thing I think Cotonou has over Lagos is that it is safe, very safe. You see gendarme everywhere to quell civil misdemeanor.
Also, things are relatively cheaper there than here, and the major reason for this, in my own opinion is that duties are higher here in Nigeria.
In addition, the roads in most cases are either well tarred, or not tarred at all.
Electricity: NEPA dey take light for that side o, it surprised me. The light was off for at least seven hours!! but that was the only experience of power outage, so I'll say it's better.
As for 70,000 Francs for a month. Hmmm make I no lie for you, that amount cannot sort out your food, transport, accommodation and other things like flexing and transport from Lagos to Cotonou.
I know how much I spent within the short time I spent there. Hope this helps.
Will 30k be enough for 3days? Not buying anything at all. Just pleasure. Flex with 'em girls, hotel fees (cheap one since its just me) and feeding. Friday to Monday afternoon. Wanna be back in Lag by Monday evening. And lastly, where can i get 'em girls? And what's their charges like? Or, are there some i do not need to pay? Thanks much!

Returned from cotonou yesterday!
It was more than fun.
No headaches except for Nigerian road safety that almost ruined the journey from its beginning.
Naija na suffer, we dey here.
Come see light and good roads.
I lodged at Golden Bed Hotel at John K.
It was fun fun fun all through.
Even met a honest Nigerian there, popularly known as FEAR GOD(at John K park).
He sells Nigerian fast food.

Some photos
How much is the hotel fees? And, is the place cool for night fun? Their girls nko? Bam?

Bros I hail I!!!! grin grin

Now Friday to Monday means three nights.

I recommend Guesthouse at Haie Vive. Just tell the bike guy haie vive and when you enter the street, look to your left-hand side. It is beside lambis bar and the Chinese restaurant is close by too. they charge 8000 francs a night so multiply that by 3 night's you get 24000 France.

To know how much it Is in Nair, multiply it by 0.385.

For transport, get to mile 2, take same. And sort yourse
- out.

Lastly for girls, just tell the cab guy to take you to Jonquet. it is pronounced Jon k in French.

When you reach there, pick your choice and carry go......

But that 30k eye you carry.... ...It depends on you I. But if you can make it 40000 in my opinion, or even 35000, then that would be o.k..

Take care and remember to wear raincoat grin cheesy

Any other questions?

P.S. Be very vigilant o. and I hope you know your way to Mile 2.

hello, everyone in the house,
i wish to visit Cotonou.please i need traveling advice to Cotonou form Lagos.i need to know how, where and when to board the bus to Cotonou, the price of the bus fare and how to cross the borders.thank you

@0p I hope you have not entered Cotonou already with this advise they all gave you here. if you do , you will be frustrated oooo....
As a new comer, enter ceme motor at mile two , the cab will drop you at conoil ceme.

once your foot touches the ground many people rush you, some will speak Igbo and some will speak Yoruba for u ,ignore them
if you want to cross border and you did not stamp your passport please don't use okada if you did not stamp your passport.

some okada me will take u to a check point that they have their partners in crime and obtain u of all your cash , some time last year, a girl was carried by one okada man in the name of crossing border and she was taking to a place and was raped .

from mile 2 to ceme (conoil filling station) = #1000

come out of the filling station , look for a vespa , I mean a vesper , it is been operated by disabled men , I mean only disabled people drive vespaa . enter vespaa u will be charged 500 naira, no security operative will disturb u cs the vespaa people normally settle while passing the check points .

please when u get there as a new comer , act as if u b old show for the area . no dulling , just tell ur self say naija no dey carry last.

when the vespaaa crosses you, drop at their black market where they change money. as of yesterday I came back from a biz trip from Lagos, I changed naira to CFA 376

from that place vespaa drop u, enter another cab , going to tukpaaa market..
price is 1000cfa

when u get to tukpaa their last bustop , your problem will start
problem of language cs they only understand French . please be wear of police cs they do arrest people that did not have valid stamped passport.

hotel should be 7, 8 9 k CFA, quality hotel.

a lot of Igbo men every where in Cotonou. so open your ear any body that speaks English or Yoruba or Igbo can assist you in giving u direction.

Cotonou light dey, water dey, by u will pay for all, u can't cheat government here.

good luck.

yea just in front of the filling station , u will see them passing.
Cotonou get many pleasure spot, I patronize New York night, just before the club, a lot of caro plenty and also suwetoo , a lot of naija Caro's
magic land near airport and the Beach's r awesome.
but in Cotonou, just dress fine , Cotonou Caro's r as cheap as China product.
a lot of Nigerian girls schooling ,looking for a mags to chop.
I use the Igbo restaurant at 7star Jericho bebi (babe in Nigerian tongue).
Cotonous value their kekee more than car sef.( they call okada kekee)
so if u see bike man just shout kekeero.
