I desire we can also share experiences on Spiritual guidance (I mean how we have been led by the Holy Spirit in time past).

How can we differentiate our thoughts from that which is laid upon our hearts by the Spirit? I can't really say I have heard d audible voice of God but I have been guided through his inner witness and other means of guidance. Sincerely, I have missed it sometimes too. I thought I heard God only to discover it was my own voice / thought etc.

How can I clearly discern his voice from my own thoughts since He lays thoughts on my heart too and I later discover its him. I have had good results too... I mean so precise and accurate leadings which were of God but sometimes I miss it too.

for a better understanding, you can go back to the book of Genesis and differentiate between the created man(spirit) dat was created on d 6th day in Genesis 1:26 and d formed man(d body) Genesis 2:7. D real man created in d image of God has a body he lives in and should have full control over it. Book of heb12:9 regards God as the Father of spirits. D spirit of man got separated from God as a result of the sin of d first man nd went into corruption. Spiritual death simply means separation from God as physical death is separation of d spirit from d body. The salvation of the cross of Jesus Christ is mainly for the Spirit of man nd dat is wat is called d new birth or being born again. Wen you get born again, ur spirit has become restored to fellowship with God. Ur spirit feeds on anything that brings it in fellowship with God such as d Bible, prayer, praise and every other thing that brings it into God's presence. As ur spirit grows, ur soul nd body becomes its subject as it was in d beginning. God speaks to you mainly by ur spirit. D spirit has senses too such as hearing, sight, smell, tasting(remember d psalmist said taste and see that the Lord is good) . You can hear God everytime if you allow ur spirit rule over ur soul as a born again believer. D soul nd body of man are not yet saved so its going to be difficult for a man who is controlled by his physical senses nd wisdom to hear God. Your spiritual senses can b exercised daily and by so doing you know God more (heb5:14). Why don't you start by asking God little questions nd trusting Him for answers being quiet isa30:15 also helps. By being quiet, i don't mean those who work in factories cant hear God there. Quietness is of the Spirit so dat means one can be alone in a solitary place but so much noise within.
Many a time, wat ppl call their spirit, is actually their soul e.g seeing a old woman nd suspecting she is a witch because nollywood has so painted witches as old women. D part of you that longs for fellowship with God is ur spirit. Many a time, wen God wanna test me, He tests my spirit. Ur spirit can't lie to God wen He comes to inquire about something from you. For now, start writing all your spiritual experiences and study and test them with the word of God. Ask for wisdom too and it shall be granted.

On asking, I always ask for understanding on any topic I wish to learn then I forget. The teaching comes through experience, at times a teaching somewhere, at times experience. Many times experience.

Knowing his voice, his does and don't. its a personal thing. now if i call you for the first thing on your mobile phone it would be difficult for me, BUT THE MORE YOU HEAR MY VOICE ON THE PHONE, IT REGISTERS IN YOU. SO LIKEWISE IS THE VOICE OF GOD. the more you become a sheep, the more you just know it's God's word. God word always has the following charactertics

a. HE NEVER SHOUTS, CONDEMNS YOU OR ANY ONE.
B. HE SPEAKS LOVINGLY AND GENTLY
C. HE WILL NEVER TELL YOU TO DO ANYTHING OUTSIDE HIS WORD

there are times God speaks to you and instantly you know its him. but there are times he speaks and you're like IS THIS HIM? listen just ask God to teach you how to know hos voice. the above examples and list i gave are based ON MY LITTLE EXPERIENCE WITH HIM. yours might be similar or different. but you still need to ask the holy spirit to teach you. he's the teacher.

Thanks so much brother. I once read a book written by Kenneth Hagin. He also said the first audible voice (so to say) he heard was that of the devil. The voice told him he was going to die. He mistook it for the voice of God until very much later when he heard God as he opened the scriptures. This is just to buttress what you shared above. God's audible voice is real. We only need to check if the voice aligns with the Scriptures as God's voice and his Word doesn't contradict. Thanks once again.

How about asking to know God's mind about a particular issue e. g his will in marriage and other crucial issues and one can't just hear anything but there are other issues I may not even bother to ask and I get revelations about such. It could be about another person's life.

Are there times the Lord keeps silent when we seek to know his will? If yes, what could be responsible though he speaks to us on other issues?

I have been following this thread for close to two days. I have seen oppositions from the Samballats and Tobiahs too. Please let us always learn just to ignore them. Our response to their post further propels them to distract us. Let them say whatever.... They will eventuality get tired when we refuse to quote them or respond and thus we can maintain our focus and balance on the thread.

The Spirit realm is real... I don't have much experience to share with us. I had about two during my undergraduate days. It was a trance I believe. I was on my bed upstairs and later found myself at the tap where we fetch water. I saw two demons there and then 'woke up'. It wasn't as if I was sleeping. I just came back to myself on the bed... Well... We don't glory in experiences but in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. This knowledge comes by revelation. Experiences are just means to an end. The ultimate end of our living and the experiences is the establishment and advancement of God's Kingdom on earth.

With a stern look on her face, she asked the kids to sit by me. Before she walked away, she picked one of the kids and drop on top of me. I knew why she brought the kids, but I refuse to take responsibility of them. I couldn't say anything though, because she was a no nonsense mama.

I went on with my discussion. Sometime later, another man. An huasa military man, brought another group of kids and did the same thing the woman did. Asked the children to sit down there, picked one child and droped the child on me and left without a word.
I was angry why I was being picked on. I complained and said; why me of the people in the camp? I don't have money to feed this kids, see, all of them naked, where will I get clothes to wear them. How am I going to take care of these children all by myself?
After I was done throwing tantrums, I gave in and decided to fine a way. I pleaded with my friends to assist me, so that I could bath them, cloth, and get food for them. When I got up the kids all got up and followed me. Okey!!!
While I was taking them to here we'll bath them, the voice of a witch, I don't know how I knew ,but I knew that she was a witch. I didn't see her, I only heard her voice. I wasn't afraid of her at all. She threatened my Children with death.

All of a sudden, those kids were no longer destitudes brought for me to care for, they became mine. My children. There was a kind of love that entered my heart at that point for them. I was ready to kill anyone who'll touch any of them.
I ignored that woman. She was of no consequence to me. I turned around and spread my hands to gather the Children to my chest, I saw my hands stretching out like elastic and I gathered all the children and I started declearing on the kids. I said, No child that God has given to me shall be taken away from me. At that point, I woke up.

The very next night, the dream continued.
I had bath and feed the kids. That man who saved me from drawning came to me. (I just knew he was the one. I don't know how I knew it, but I knew he was the one. He has been coming and I always knew he is the one) this time, I wasn't seeing him physically, but I felt his presence very strong. I knew he was there. He told me the Number of the kids with me '20'.

He touched my shoulder and I found myself somewhere. (I disappeared kind of and saw myself) In a strange street standing in front of a big gate painted oxblood colour, in front of a very fine house. Then he said, 'this is the place', when he said that, I knew in me what he meant. And then I said, 'here?'

This is a big house yes, but will it house 20 kids? What about those ladies who will help me care for them? They have to stay here with us, and this kids will grow.

He touched my shoulder again, and I found myself in an open field. Just land. And he said, 'there'. When he said 'there', I knew what he meant.

Fine, I start there and build here.
Okey I said, let's talk about how to educate the kids, how am I going to send them to school? I don't have money. Will I send them to school in pares or all to one school? He asked me a question in return and said 'DO YOU NEED TO SEND THEM TO ANY SCHOOL? WHY ARE U A TEACHER?' At this point I woke up.

privileged to mention u.... Have really followed ur Story. N i know that Spirit wife even monitors u on nairaland... Ur case is one of those rare case that God need to prove his Sovereignty over all. The Sovereign power of God doesn't wait for any man's prayer.He his God n he does what he wants... you believe so much in the knowledge you've gathered that's its blocking your view and surrender to God... from all I've read on your threads here on nairaland, it seems majority of the problem at present emanates from you.
what do you have to lose if you become completely free and begin to fulfill your desires/expectations. others have come out of deeper, darker pits.

There is total deliverance sir. No case is impossible with God as long as the person in question is willing to have it God's way.

Don't be discouraged please. The death and resurrection of Christ has brought redemption to mankind. Embedded in this redemption is deliverance which isn't meant to be partial but absolute and total. God bless you sir.

God is a person i.e He has His will. Wen you pray on important issue, if God doesnt speak, He will give u peace in ur spirit but if u feel disturbed abt it in ur spirit, It means d Holy Spirit wants u to get 2 d root of it. Our human nature makes it impossible to see beyond our noses so we end up worrying.
Let me share an example wit u. Wen i was in uni, i was very active in d campus fellowship nd we used to av a premonition dat we must b engage wit a sister b4 graduating. Dis led to ppl praying nd seeing all kind of revelation(imagine 11 brothers seeing just a sister nd dey all av dreams.is God d author of confusion? Of course its of d devil). Most of my friends got engaged on campus but i just had dis supernatural peace dat i started to think i wasnt normal so i sort d face of God on d issue so God told me my wife wasnt even on dat campus. He told me I was gon meet her during nysc. After dat, of course i wasnt worried abt it anymore of course I met her during service(story 4 another day).
Build ur spirit man by personally fellowshiping wit God and you will hear His voice on issues and u will av peace

I've toured around and see that there's no such thing as total deliverance,one can be delivered but not total,when the assurance of your total deliverance is under condition of a particular lifestyle then that's not a total deliverance,totality means you are free to do what you like,talk what you like,go where you like and do what you like

In usa someone who committed a crime can be given 5 years parole,you see him walking up and down as if he's free but he's not,his life,where he goes,what he does,who he associates with is under condition,now is that what you call freedom? Nah,that's not

Anything they chase away yachikka,I entered another bondage of living my life under condition,they give me list of things I shouldn't do,is that what you call freedom

I don't think anyone in this thread has gone as far as I've gone in godly way to achieve total and I tell you again,its an illusion

The second time I faced amputation, was in 2003. I went for surgery and afterwards, my leg got infected by what the Doctors called Epidermitis or something like that. The disease killed the skin around my wound, no matter what they did, there was no improvement. At that point, it was either for me to agree to cut the leg off or gangeren will set in then eventually kill me. So I made a vow to God. (Maybe in desperation) which is not good.

I told Him to pls heal me and take me. Whatever you want me to do or go, I'll do and go. Just take this disease out of my leg and heal me. To the Doctor's supprise, all of a sudden I started responding to treatment. And I eventually escaped that amputation.
I vowed to be a missionary. Whereever I will go, just speak the word.
Before I went to get my degree, I had tried to locate any missionary organisation, I couldn't so I went to the university. I graduated and got a job immidiately. 1yr later, I got another job, a yr later, I was sacked for no reason given to me. I didn't even stay home one month, I got another job, a yr later I was sacked again, what happend? Nothing, ur services are no longer needed here.
I was getting scared by this time.
Well, that year, my friend had discovered a missionary school in Jos and resigned from her very good job, packedup and went to Jos. Ahhh.
My Vow came back to me like a cloak. So wen I lost the third job, I was done. Now I knew where to go. I was prepearing to leave for Jos, but before that, I went to see my Mentor. A very good man of God, I told him my plans. He said that's not how to go about it.
He told me to take some time out and seek God face concerning that. Even if I were to go into missions there must be what God wants me to do as a missionary.
He gave me a reference letter to a prayer Camp. "Camp of Faith" run by Scripture Union. I went, and was there for three days fasting and praying.

I'll keep this brief.
Let's analyze it first...

Children- Ministry (also people that are spiritually immature)
Military man- Spiritual warfare
20- a period or waiting time (also 20 things God wants you to do in your ministry)
Red blood gate/house- covenant (reminder that this is a covenant/calling), church or ministry.
Deserted land/refugee camp- this represents 'not responding to God's call or God's work'
Land- work, spiritual work to be done/ responding to God's call.

INTERPRETATION- God is going to use you to build people who are weak and immature in the things of the Spirit. Also there are 20 things God has called you to do in your ministerial calling, 20 ministry phases which will likely endure for 20 yrs which will lead you into building a church or big ministry. There is work to be done my Dear. The first part of the dream shows God's work neglected (that's why the children were naked and were like beggars). The second part where you see the land shows you work needed to be done (in regards to these children who you now have with you).

It's simply telling you to face your spiritual obligation, just what the other dreams have been saying too. They're all the same meanings, only this is a little deeper. You will pass through a long period of time doing the work of God in preaching and teaching His word to spiritually weak & immature people, people who do not know Jesus properly. This will happen for a period of about 20yrs. And these people will be the foundation of your ministry or your church.


So my Dear.. Your dreams have the same meaning. You have a covenant with God and that covenant is about your calling.
Satan can't thwart it if you embrace your spiritual responsibility with all your heart just as you embraced the children in your dream when a witch wanted to harm them.

I have given men up long ago. Right now fornication is behind me. Its not easy to give it up, but Jesus helped me because I really wanted to leave it. I broke out of relationship that wasn't going anywhere.

You are very correct. Yes, I have a calling, and I know what it is already.

The second time I faced amputation, was in 2003. I went for surgery and afterwards, my leg got infected by what the Doctors called Epidermitis or something like that. The disease killed the skin around my wound, no matter what they did, there was no improvement. At that point, it was either for me to agree to cut the leg off or gangeren will set in then eventually kill me. So I made a vow to God. (Maybe in desperation) which is not good.

I told Him to pls heal me and take me. Whatever you want me to do or go, I'll do and go. Just take this disease out of my leg and heal me. To the Doctor's supprise, all of a sudden I started responding to treatment. And I eventually escaped that amputation.
I vowed to be a missionary. Whereever I will go, just speak the word.
Before I went to get my degree, I had tried to locate any missionary organisation, I couldn't so I went to the university. I graduated and got a job immidiately. 1yr later, I got another job, a yr later, I was sacked for no reason given to me. I didn't even stay home one month, I got another job, a yr later I was sacked again, what happend? Nothing, ur services are no longer needed here.
I was getting scared by this time.
Well, that year, my friend had discovered a missionary school in Jos and resigned from her very good job, packedup and went to Jos. Ahhh.
My Vow came back to me like a cloak. So wen I lost the third job, I was done. Now I knew where to go. I was prepearing to leave for Jos, but before that, I went to see my Mentor. A very good man of God, I told him my plans. He said that's not how to go about it.
He told me to take some time out and seek God face concerning that. Even if I were to go into missions there must be what God wants me to do as a missionary.
He gave me a reference letter to a prayer Camp. "Camp of Faith" run by Scripture Union. I went, and was there for three days fasting and praying.
While there, I saw nothing. When I got home, I had this dream;

I saw myself in a kind of refugee Camp. Like in the Northen part of Nigeria! because the place was like the savannah vegetation. You could see very far. No trees and dry hamartan weather. There were no houses. And somany people, we were lying on the ground. It was a refugee Camp.
I and some friends about 5 of us were having a discussion when, an elderly woman who was like in charge of my section of the Camp, came up to me with group of children. Those children looked like street urchins, like they were homeless and beggers. All naked. From the ages of 1-5yrs.
With a stern look on her face, she asked the kids to sit by me. Before she walked away, she picked one of the kids and drop on top of me. I knew why she brought the kids, but I refuse to take responsibility of them. I couldn't say anything though, because she was a no nonsense mama.

I went on with my discussion. Sometime later, another man. An huasa military man, brought another group of kids and did the same thing the woman did. Asked the children to sit down there, picked one child and droped the child on me and left without a word.
I was angry why I was being picked on. I complained and said; why me of the people in the camp? I don't have money to feed this kids, see, all of them naked, where will I get clothes to wear them. How am I going to take care of these children all by myself?
After I was done throwing tantrums, I gave in and decided to fine a way. I pleaded with my friends to assist me, so that I could bath them, cloth, and get food for them. When I got up the kids all got up and followed me. Okey!!!
While I was taking them to here we'll bath them, the voice of a witch, I don't know how I knew ,but I knew that she was a witch. I didn't see her, I only heard her voice. I wasn't afraid of her at all. She threatened my Children with death.

All of a sudden, those kids were no longer destitudes brought for me to care for, they became mine. My children. There was a kind of love that entered my heart at that point for them. I was ready to kill anyone who'll touch any of them.
I ignored that woman. She was of no consequence to me. I turned around and spread my hands to gather the Children to my chest, I saw my hands stretching out like elastic and I gathered all the children and I started declearing on the kids. I said, No child that God has given to me shall be taken away from me. At that point, I woke up.

The very next night, the dream continued.
I had bath and feed the kids. That man who saved me from drawning came to me. (I just knew he was the one. I don't know how I knew it, but I knew he was the one. He has been coming and I always knew he is the one) this time, I wasn't seeing him physically, but I felt his presence very strong. I knew he was there. He told me the Number of the kids with me '20'.

He touched my shoulder and I found myself somewhere. (I disappeared kind of and saw myself) In a strange street standing in front of a big gate painted oxblood colour, in front of a very fine house. Then he said, 'this is the place', when he said that, I knew in me what he meant. And then I said, 'here?'

This is a big house yes, but will it house 20 kids? What about those ladies who will help me care for them? They have to stay here with us, and this kids will grow.

He touched my shoulder again, and I found myself in an open field. Just land. And he said, 'there'. When he said 'there', I knew what he meant.

Fine, I start there and build here.
Okey I said, let's talk about how to educate the kids, how am I going to send them to school? I don't have money. Will I send them to school in pares or all to one school? He asked me a question in return and said 'DO YOU NEED TO SEND THEM TO ANY SCHOOL? WHY ARE U A TEACHER?' At this point I woke up.

Before I tell you what happened after that, let me hear ur interpretation.

1. this is a destiny dream. a very serious one. infact i believe this is your major purpose on earth.
2. ENVIRONMENT: DRY, NORTH. spiritually this means a place where there is scarcity of the word of God. a place where people don't really know the word of God. i bet physically, it is not going to be a favorably place.
3. MAJOR PARTICIPANTS: the children. now i would have said that they would be young Christians but on really observing your dream, you said you had to feed, bath them e.t.c. i believe that they might be REAL KIDS, ORPHANS, ABANDONED CHILDREN THAT GOD WANTS YOU TO HELP. I ALSO BELIEVE THAT THIS MINISTRY WHICH INCLUDE PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL HELP.
MAMA: I BELIEVE THAT YOU WILL ENTER THIS MINISTRY UNDER SOMEONE WHO WILL HAND OVER LEADERSHIP TO YOU (ALTHOUGH YOU WOULDNT LIKE IT BECOS U WILL FEEL INEXPERIENCE OR NOT READY)

4 SOMETHING TRAGIC WOULD ALMOST HAPPEN TO THE CHILDREN OR MINISTRY. THAT THING WOULD PROPEL YOU TO HAVE MORE FAITH IN GOD/LOVE AND CARE FOR THEM FROM YOUR HEART. THAT 'THING' WOULD BE A TRAINING FOR YOU...THEN YOU WILL BE FULLY READY TO TAKE CHARGE AND LEAD THE KIDS.

One night satan tried me to see my reaction. I had a dream. In that dream, I woke up from sleep and found a man lying down by me. I couldn't see his face. A faceless man. I was very weak to get out from him. I wanted to getout from him because I knew I shdnt be there. I tried and escaped. He came after me and caught me. We were struggling because I didn't want to stay with him. Not as though he made love to me, no.

Sir!!! When I wokeup from that dream. JESUS CHRIST!!!!!

Even satan knew that he crossed the line. I have never felt that kind of spiritual anger ever in my life. I did warfare for two hours straight. The whole of that day, my spirit was at war. Him dey craze? Him dey craze, him dey craze? Him no dey look face? I be him pikin? Me? U dey craze.
That was the first and last time a thing like that ever happened. But if I took it lying down, that demon would ve made me his wife.

I've toured around and see that there's no such thing as total deliverance,one can be delivered but not total,when the assurance of your total deliverance is under condition of a particular lifestyle then that's not a total deliverance,totality means you are free to do what you like,talk what you like,go where you like and do what you like

In usa someone who committed a crime can be given 5 years parole,you see him walking up and down as if he's free but he's not,his life,where he goes,what he does,who he associates with is under condition,now is that what you call freedom? Nah,that's not

No. If that is the case, that kind of freedom will lead to death. We can't always obey our desires and inclinations (I mean fleshly desires) due to the fact that they could lead us astray.

Take for instance sir, your mind tells you to jump off from a three storey building. Will you do that in the name of freedom? If your answer is No, then it means you have subjected yourself to another law-permit me to say the 'law of reasoning'

As believers, freedom implies liberty from anything that contradicts God and his purpose for your life. These ranges from our default sin nature, the devil and his cohorts... I mean anything that could serve as an encumbrance on our path to maximizing our lives and destiny.

The Bible in Romans 8:1 says the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me FREE from the law of sin and death. Can you see that sir? Now that is TRUE FREEDOM.

There is a guiding principle that guarantees life for every man on earth. It is in yielding ourselves to God's Word. Sadly, a lot of folks rejects this thinking its a yoke. Little did they know that this rejection is actually what leads them to bondage. Dear brother, please give up whatever the Lord is asking you to surrender and embrace true freedom. It is practical. do you know that its best when following God out of the love you have for him not because you are scared of a returning of a demon

For example,you know that you can commit any sin if you want but you choose not to because you love God,that is what worshiping God is not avoiding sin because of a demon

Let me ask you a question,you are a born again and you were told that anyday you commit any sin is the day you'll die,do you know you have entered into bondage even though you don't plan committing the sin

Total Deliverance will be better if after deliverance you now have the power to commit any type of sin but choose not to
