Errrmmm, ejoor... please even if a diaper states proudly that you can use it for 12 hours upwards, please abeg DON'T USE ONE DIAPER ALL DAY. The diaper area has a lot of moisture around it and it breeds a lot of stuff.
Mama na all night she talk na. I don't think any mama will use one diaper for a whole day.

The diaper area has a lot of moisture around it and it breeds a lot of stuff. You may not be seeing diaper rash now (most diaper rashes starts as the child gets a bit older and their urine starts to become like adult urine. If you notice, infant and newborn urine is clear and odorless and mostly sterile because they're not eating a lot of different stuff, just milk. That doesn't last). So the diaper rash bad times are waiting ahead for most babies (unless you are constantly changing, cleaning up and airing the place and using some barrier cream from time to time). Please eh.

Disposable diaper is made up of paper, plastic and S &P (that's a petrochemical product that helps absorbs the urine) and a lot of chemical stuff as well. I don't think even the makers would keep their baby in one diaper for 24 hours unless it was an emergency (no-one wants their child that exposed to harsh chemicals for prolonged usuage).

It is not possible to use one diaper for a whole day for an infant...i said "night"....Thank you..

To God be the Glory, great things he has done. God bless our little ones and I pray we reap the fruit of our labour on them and I pray that God will put dancing shoes and joyful heart for our TTC mothers.

My baby is just 3 month plus
1: I think its too early. Their system isn't fully developed dats why semi solids is introduced b4 solids.
2: when ur baby can sit without support but when she starts crawling, u myt not use d walker.
3: in my place, boys: 4mnths, girls: 3mnths. Just make sure u pack her sides n watch her closely.

1. From 6 months you can start giving cereal, and mashed adult food/ purées

2. Not sure, my baby started at 9 months, I never used the walke
3. For boys 4 months; for girls 3 months

Gudm to all our lovely mama's,both old and new. Please don't judge,naija economy is pretty tough nowadays! Please need you honest advice,can I leave my 3months old baby with his grandmum(my mum) permanently permanently for a couple of months while I resume work? Mum in lagos,job @ Abj. He would have had 3month exclusive BF b4 dropping him off to continue on formula. Real confused Cos am just so scared of nanny and househelps. Thanks for all your honest and non judgemental opinions and advice.

It's going to be extremely hard for you, probably harder than it will be on the baby

My advice will be explore ALL options to you

This golden morn issue trended on NL some years back and Nestle themselves had to come and clarify. Pls note, It is not good for ages 3 years and below.

The packet used to carry this warning sign some years back but Nestle Naija has since modified their pack, hence the confusion amongst Nigerians.

They've removed it from the pack - at least the recent ones.

I think corn is harder to digest than rice, oat, etc. hence the 'it's not an infant' warning. Guess it's up to mums to decide/ define who an infant is

I started my daughter at 18 months and she has had no adverse reaction. She loves it

Wanna rant a little. I took my baby for her 12 months immunization today and learnt chicken pox and MMR costs 12,000 naira. I actually thought all the expensive ones stopped in the earlier months o. It is well.

Mamas that stay in Festac, where can I get molfix diaper? When the last one I was using finished, I searched everywhere for it but couldn't get it at all, had to settle for Pampers baby-dry which is nothing to write home about.

Mothers, what can I say? You are exactly where the company wants you to be by justifying with your own reasons why it should be okay to feed your baby with golden morn.

The word infant has several definitions depending on who is defining. Nestle initially gave their definition of infants to be 3 years which was very clear, but for some reasons best known to them, they removed that very important definition and left mothers second guessing who an infant is. Isn't that act fishy?

And as they rightly projected, mothers started feeding their infant babies with golden morn and justifying it with the fact that "infant" is not properly defined. So in essence, the company is gaining back its lost market share and at the same time avoiding litigation if anyone decides to sue them for any consequences that might arise from feeding babies with golden morn since they still have it written on the pack that it's not for infants. Perfect marketing strategy, but is it the best for babies and mothers?

And they have also refused to say exactly why it is wrong, thereby making mothers second guess why it is or not suitable for infants. I wish it were just an issue of "difficult to digest" but you will be surprised it is much more.

In all of this, I'll advise mothers to be very discerning when it comes to matters like this and choose to err on the side of caution. If there is so much confusion as to whether something is good for my baby or not, especially if it is something that is consumed; personally, I'll rather wait till I am double sure the food or medicine as the case may be is good for my baby. Babies are too precious to serve as guinea pigs in corporate experiments. I wouldn't take any known risk on my baby no matter how much my baby loves the food or medicine.

And talking of reaction, let's remember that some reactions do not manifests till months or even years later. God help us all in taking the right decisions for our babies.
