In your own wisdom and Dele's, the FG has not handled Kanu case well but I tell you that I believe the govt has done well. Let heavens fall because of incaceration of a man who openly asked his supporters to kill Hausas and Yorubas. Let whoever wants to go to war do so because a secessionist that boasted he will kill anyone who voted for the president should he come across them is incacerated. Kanu has committed treasonable offences with a lot of evidence. As such he cannot be treated with kid's gloves.
Dele can continue to speak from both sides of his mouth, na him sabi.
but Buhari did nt jst threaten to kill, he carried out his threat in 2011.

it is what it is bro. Nnamdi should not get away from all that he's done.

I've heard that conman threaten Buhari's Family and kids....I've heard him command his followers to kill a man....one radio station owner in owerri.

Honestly bro, Nnamdi should be made to pay for his crimes. Doing otherwise would make Nigeria appear weak.

You can't blackmail a nation Like Nigeria into submission. He must go through all the proceedings as entrenched in the laws of our legal system.

That is what makes us a Sovereign state.
so why is govt running away frm d ensuing legal battle if they had all d evidence to nail him?

that is Nigeria for you and you have to deal with it. Every country is unique in it's ways. Nnamdi kanu is not the only criminal that has had his case adjourned.

He's even lucky. Some prisoners have spent up to 10 years awaiting trial....i'm not saying that it is right......just saying. cool

nobody is running away to anywhere. it's all part of the legal processes. Conjunctures and motions for re-conventions are always made by lawyers for some specific legal reason. it's not called running away. They would still meet in court.

Unlike all what you have listed above, Nnamdi kanu is a common criminal and conman and his lies are in HD for all to see.

Same way shekau is a martyr .

I don't blame dele. He must sell his paper sha.
are u ok, dele said the truth, bubu turned him mandela overnight, someone like me would have voted against biafra cos am not really in sinc with the agitation but as events unfold am giving the stuff some attention, am surprise dele knows this much, which i dont even know

The DSS have refused to grant bail to Nnamdi Kanu thereby disobeying court orders. To try the man in court is also another problem as the government appears dodgy, today it is one cock and bull story after another; judge is not around, judge just lost his father, bla bla bla, what the fvck!

He is not helping matters here.

You don't go around begging useless citizens that wake up and want to threaten national security to come & talk to government. If they wanted to talk in the first place, they won't have been up in videos calling Nigeria a 'zoo' and asking for 'guns and bullets' to fight Nigeria. If they wanted to talk to the government, they know how they should/can go about that. No serious government would tolerate treason or a call to destabilize national security. I'm of the opinion that the DSS picking up a potential terrorist, Kanu was/is the right thing to do,however he should be made to face charges by rule of law and not just backyard justice cos that could make the situation spiral out of control.
God Bless Nigeria.

You guys keep making a comparison to Scotland but what you fail to realize is that the Scottish Independence movement is made up of intellectuals, academics and politicians. They provided evidence of how their country will be constituted if they got independence, from oil treaties with Norway, decommissioning of nuclear facilities. They had several bases covered before asking for independence. The Scottish people saw evidence of how their country will function if they leave the union.

It is not like Ipod run by an illiterate that goes on radio calling for the massacre of Nigerians and calling Leaders names and asking for his supporters to murder a well know Nigerian Pastor. He was even caught on video asking for money to buy arms. This is an unprofessional illiterate with no common sense.

The Scottish spent years trying to convince their people, they then formed a party - the SNP. After decades of campaigning, they got majority of political seats in the Scottish Parliament. Even after that, it took them years to convince the UK government to agree to a referendum. The whole process took over 50 years. It is a separation and not a tea party.

When Igbos are serious, they will vote for a party that wants Biafra independence, they will make them senators, HORs and governors. After that they can negotiate with the Nigerian state for a referendum.

You just dont wake up one morning and start shouting Referendum. It will take decades of negotiations and talks.

Reading through Dele Momodus piece on Nnamdi Kalu's unfortunate incarceration, I can't help but smile at his unchallenged wisdom and intelligence for indeed the Federal Government of Nigeria is just adding crude oil to an already dicey fire. Very unintelligent of the Nigerian government.

Well spoken but this is where u failed... "All they need to do is to ask the Igbos to vote and determine where they want to belong, Biafra or Nigeria! I seriously doubt if majority of Igbo people would leave certainty for uncertainty."

Radio Biafra has been used to disseminate hate capable of destroying lives, property and the unity of Nigeria. The tout, Nnamdi Kanu is nothing but a hate monger. His followers are low-thinkers who don't consider consequences before embarking on a mission.

Well to me, let this issue be taken to court. I believe the government has enough reason to detain Kanu for treachery against Nigeria. Even by culling up his online speeches and pictures with Biafrans wielding weapons should be enough to prosecute him. But it is also imperative to let him go.with a warning that if this Biafran agitation gets any violent, he will be detained by the long arm of the law.

Its obvious that Nnamdi kanu calls are sponsored by powers that be in nigeria. He played a fast one on FG and buhari in its usual adamant and irrational mindset took the bait, full throttle.

This Nnamdi guy knew he needed to garner some support fron the igbos, knowing he most likely would fail in his first attempt. The only way to garner the immediate attention was by forceful detention. The guy is acting out a written script and the govt of the day unknowingly plays along.
The biafra cause is a just cause. Every nation and tribe within nigeria has a right to hold a protest if it feels aggrieved. Why didnt nnamdi make the threats during the era of GEJs govt? Why dis he make the trip to lagos just few days after making the threat against nigeria govt? Nnamdi kanu was a smoke screen for some powers that be to distract the govt from ongoing financial probe. When the SE are ready, they will get BIAFRA, with or without NNAMDI KANU.

if Nigerians are to go with the poo you wrote thinking you're smart, then PMB should be serving jail term because I can remember him saying " if he doesn't rule Nigeria blood will flow!" I'm not ibo but I believe in equality and fairness the Igbo people agitation for Biafra might be born outta greed but jailing kanu isn't the right step.unless buhari have a personal problem with him or his tribesmen...

I was once asked if I could die for Nigeria and I answered that I could die for "Nigerians", but not for "Nigeria".
Nigerians are people. Nigeria on the other hand is an artificial entity that was created by the then British Secretary to the Colonies in the British Foreign Ministry acting on the advice of one Frederick Lugard.
And that is the problem with Nigeria. Unlike countries like Britain, Germany, France etc who exist because they evolved over many centuries of shared historical, cultural and linguistic characteristics, Nigeria came into existence in an overnight fashion because of an administrative memo prepared in 1914 by a Colonial secretary in an office in London!
Should we then be surprised that there is turmoil in such an artificial creation?
To me, the best solution is to call for a referendum and settle the question of whether there should be a Nigeria one way or the other.
