It's same here, a film festival in Rome accepted my short film for March 2016 screening. I think its better to go the VFS and get a better explanation on the requirements.

@careerwoman: €30k Is not what you would pay. They referring to the Insurance company policy. 2weeks travel insurance is N5000.00 five thousand naira only. Now I did mine online through Cornerstone insurance. When you Google it you would see there travel insurance. Hope I've answered your que

we bear the same surname. Hope it will pass?? Finally I do not understand the proof of flight booking. Am I supposed to book a ticket and print the page as evidence? This is because I dont think it is advisable to purchase a flight ticket before getting the visa. How do I go about that??

It's flight reservation. Don't pay. Go through an agent if you don't know how to do it. Yeah u can use your brothers but make sure u demonstrate on your bank statement that u earn money too. Like u work and u need to resume back to work after the trip. This are the things this people wanna see. That u got something going on here and u wouldn't wanna abandon them to start living in the Italy. So demonstrate your home ties.

I'm a student and do not have a job. I'm thinking of attaching a letter of purpose of visit from the dean of students' affairs of my school.

Try and contact VFS to know the status of your application.
Or go to the embassy and find out ASAP.

I don't know if the processing time has changed, it took average of 3mths for a relative to get study visa in 2012.

Have sent mail to VFS and they told me it still under processing,i dont know what to do again.

Unfortunately, you need document to certify that you have Italian language skill to get admitted to such school and to get visa.
