My good people of Nairalands, I am a lover of American cars mostly especially ones made by GM. Am not really a fan of Toyota, Honda and other Japanese models. Don't get me wrong they are good cars but so regular. I don't do reguar cars. Standing aprt from the crowd is my thing. Am about purchasing a 2002 Buick Century. Previously using a Chevy Aveo but need something with more power. Can you please share your thoughts on availability of parts and a good mechanic that services American cars in Lagos. I don't mind buying my parts from America but need them to be fixed right. Thanks

Nefo: These are disposable cars in the US, no one but geriatrics drive them, so don't pay a premium for them as they are cheap in the used car market. 1 Like |

In this case you will know more about the car than your mechanic all the information you will need to service it will be found on the buick century forum and youtube. They are easy to fix and very reliable, parts are very cheap and abundant abroad How do you plan to ship it in with the 70% duty madness Depending on mileage and condition it should not cost more than $2000.a good deal will be ~$900 These cars share the same oil filters PH47 AMERICAN MOTORS (1980 - 1984) ASUNA 1993 BUICK (1975 - 2009) CADILLAC (1980 - 1998) CHECKER 1980 CHEVROLET (1976 - 2014) DAEWOO (1999 - 2002) GMC (1978 - 2014) ISUZU (1989 - 2003) JEEP (1980 - 1986) OLDSMOBILE (1975 - 2004) PASSPORT (1988 - 1991) PONTIAC (1976 - 2009) SAAB (1994 - 1997) SATURN (2005 - 2006) SUZUKI (2004 - 2009) 1 Like 1 Share |
