SHELL WILL NOT CALL YOU WITHOUT SENDING AN EMAIL FIRST FOR SCHEDULING

Yes they do. Especially from the UK. If it's shell, your status must have changed to pending phone interview already.

Please say facts. Shell called me from the UK last year to schedule a phone interview before sending an email to confirm the conversation. So it absolutely depends on what they choose to do and not what you imagine or think.

The best approach to shell is to act like you didn't apply. I'd tell you why. With shell Nigeria, many people apply to be taken. How they screen now becomes difficult. They apply some random selection of profiles to screen and if you qualify, they'd schedule you for am interview otherwise, reject you.

But can they check everybody? Hell no, they can't. That's why you see some amazing peeps not called and some not so amazing peeps get called. A bit of luck really applies here as most people pass the test.

I can drop it here and it doesn't become unique anymore. If everyone does this, it won't work.

Hmmmm. What's the best way to tell like 3 people to try so it stays effective?

I beg to disagree with the opinion that not all applications are reviewed,do you think they review all those applications manually? Its all done electronically and the computers that do that are already programmed,if you meet their requirement, you would be called,a well established organisation wouldn't pick candidates on "luck" they know what they want and if you are found qualified, meeting their requirements, you would be called.Note that I am not undermining "the God factor",very important.

I once worked as a recruiter. There's yet to be any amazing software that does the screening for us... It's tough.

What systems will do is to make a quick extract of some valid points and there always errors, reason is because cv format differs and they can't write the program to fit every cv on earth.

I wished I could see every cv back then, but I just can't... I absolutely can't. We paid for the best of softwares, we use applitrak and even, LinkedIn, Rigzone,

Content searching doesn't even solve this problem too.

Now this is something you can do, a huge one.. Solve this and start employing people... I can provide more insights if you need them.
