Are these politicians actually serious about this bill? shocked what do they think we are? Animals that can be tamed and controlled at will?
This preposterous act has to stop. Was it not just about few days ago that they were asked to pass the bill of 5k for the unemployed youth that they refused? And now they think they have the right to seal our mouths so as to continue in their evil act.
I think it's high time we don't only take to the street our annoyance to this but also go and start flushing them out from that cabinet they think they inherited.
This is just too inhuman. angry

What i do not understand abt this social media bill is, even if the bill is successfully passed into law, how would that stop me from posting and criticising corrupt government and its officials? And after i am found posting an unconstructive criticism against government in a platform such as here on nairaland, how possibly can they trace me for arrest considering the fact that this is a very faceless forum. I think that bill or whatever they call it is a complete waste of time and resources.

nigerians were warned that the illiterate tyrant will trample on their freedom of expression and regulate social media but they were too daft to understand. That bill must pass.

They are wasting their time. If they know they don't want to buy fuel at 500 per litre, they better go back to their homes. The bill will be signed and passed into law whether Ifa and Sango like it or not. The first casualty will be SowOLE cheesy

This shows how selfish and wicked APC is. Social media aided the success of APC in the last general elections. Now they want to ''kill" it after using to achieve their success.

The truth is, Nigeria is a failed state.
I am beginning to get offended at the way you Igbos baifralisr everthing on nairaland publicly protesting for ur cause peacefully is allowed. It was when u guys killed innocent shoemakers in the name of baifra the everyone got pissed with u.This protest was peaceful and they have a point, reining in the social media is a ploy to take away our freedom of expression
