Senator (Bar) Victor Ndoma Egba (SAN) was a commissioner at 27 though during a military regime. Besides if we go back into history another great Cross Riverian Chief (bar) Ambassador Mathew Tawo Mbu was 23 years old, when he became the first High Commissioner of Nigeria to the United Kingdom at the first Republic. How about Donald Duke? He was a commissioner during Clement Ebri's regime. You can't count that democratic dispensation. He later became a Governor at the age of 32

He is trying to say that Asuquo Ekpenyong is the youngest commissioner since Nigeria returned to democracy. There have been younger commissioners, but they served during the era of military rule.

Rasheed Gbadamosi was 29 years old when he became a commissioner in Lagos State, but that was in 1974.

Victor Ndoma-Egba was a commissioner in Cross River State at the age of 27, but that was in 1984.

Dr Mathew Tawo Mbu was Federal Minister of Transport at the age of 23 in 1953.
