I really don't see what those guys are doing to be honest. Take for instance in Lagos and the suburbs, you will find vehicles that are suppose to be off the road since 3 years ago, and yet, they still manage their ways pass the VIO, instead, you find them intimidating car owner with a dent on the windscreen or some stain on the body of the car. They can be so annoying sometimes though.

This is such wonderful news. Vio in Kaduna are a bunch of desperate theives. Just last week a Vio was in a lady's car. It seemed she was suppose to go somewhere with the Vio and negotiate tins.. But the woman seemed to be driving another direction. Lo and behold this Vio man just pulled this lady's handbrake in d middle of the road. Almost causing a catastrophe to other road users. I was like this guy must be extremely daft and desperate.
Let them get out, they are a bunch of opportunists. Obviously this Christmas season has made them double their hustle, to fetch money for chicken and rice.

VIO has never been identified as a Federal government agency or parastata. They generate their own money and pay themselves not only in Kaduna but in all other state of the federation.

The only thing is that their activities is been regulated by their host state governor.

Oshe El Rufai! One Tom Tom for you on this one! Those VIO guys are not trying at all. I want you to send away police and those road safety guys standing on the express to extort money from people.
A police man stopped me on Saturday and demanded for my document. I gave him all my car document and he flipped through. Then he asked for proof of ownership and my learner's permit which he was holding. I told him that they are all with him. He now said where is my I'd card, I said it is inside my car. He said go and bring it, but I told him to give me my document first because I knew that he will remove one of the document and later ask for it just to extort money from me. He refused to give me the document and I also refused to leave him.
He now led me to his boss who sat inside their patrol vehicle and lied to him that he asked me to bring my driver's license and I refused. I told the boss that he only demanded for my I'd card. That one two went through it and yan nonsense. They later allowed me to go when they discovered that I'm too tough for them.
Police aren't my friends!

Same should be extended to Lagos and Ogun States. Those guys are nothing but THUGS. The way they flag down vehicles is very crude and embarrassing.

2 of my brothers in law abandoned their permanent teaching employment with the state goverment for casual VIO jobs in Kaduna. They are now jobless.

That's the best thing to have happened. I don't care if has the power or not, that organization is monster and must be taken off the road, I wish other states follow suit.

Long overdue. It's just giving too much power to a bunch of illiterates who unleash their frustration on innocent motorists. I have a personal experience at Bekwara Cross River State. I was harassed and squeezed for not having a wheel nut in place. Out of five just one was missing and I practically went to hell for it.
