fizzy94: I think the CUAC deals with Atlantic Canada alone. The school I intend on applying to directed me to CUAC to apply through them. I know CUAC definitely limits your choices of schools to Nova Scotia and other places but asides this limitation, are there any other concerns you have about them? To answer your question, I think there are loads of Canadian agents (I know one in Ibadan) but you really could apply yourself and save costs. |

Hello guys, I intend to apply for my MFin at Sobey School of Business (Saint Mary's Uni, Halifax). I've done tons of research on them and chose the school mainly because they waive GMAT and have a good syllabus. My concern is that I've heard/read lots of people advice that a co-op program is better (longer study period that may help in getting WP later) than regular full-time study. How true is that? My program is for 12 months, is that too short to stand a chance for work permit after my study? Is it possible for graduate students (intl) to get relevant work experience during their breaks? Or is it just flipping burgers at McDonald's? |

Koffies: well you will get a PGWP equivalent to the duration of your studies. i will advise u do a masters of three semesters 18 months.then u can get up to a max of 3 yrs PGWP getting relevant work experience during studies might be a little tough but possible , however i would advise u volunteer during these times. that way you are building the relevant work experience needed for employment after graduation. my opinion. 3 Likes |

University of Saskatchewan requests for IELTS and sometimes GRE depending on the course. I had to write both in my case. I will wait about 4 weeks after the deadline if i were you which is Feb 1 for all departments I Think Caleycash: |

hello people, pls i want to know which school is cool for human resources management. tnx people |
Re: Nigerian Students In Canada: How Do You Survive? by Ethan45(m): 7:07pm On Dec 09, 2015 |
@Caleycash IELTS,TOEFL and a list of others are english language requirements. Some schools demand that you provide the proficiency text before you are offered admission whereas some do not. You should check the school's english language proficiency text band score for admission and try as much as possible to get higher than that. If you score any less you may be referred to another course which is not your choice of study or worse still be denied admission. I would recommend IELTS for you,its a lot easier. |

Ethan45: Hi bro, please I need some advice. I'm looking to apply at Carleton University for my PhD, the program takes 4 years. Now my questions are, What are my chances of getting something to do so I can be self sufficient in my study. Do I still have to do all the IELTS stuff for PhD? It wasn't listed tho as a requirement. Will I need to certify or verify or convert my first degree and my M.sc to other formats before coming? What are my chances of getting a working permit after my 4 years of study? What are my chances of getting permanent residency? |

britiko:is the 3 years PGWP automatic? And the tuition fees in Canada's schools website, are they in Canadian Dollar or US dollar?? |
Re: Nigerian Students In Canada: How Do You Survive? by britiko: 6:31am On Dec 17, 2015 |
TheZed:Not automatic, basically depends on the Vos discretion. However if u study Full time for 18 months and over its very likely you would be given a 3 yrs PGWP. Tuition is paid in CAD. |

paparazzi1987:$350/month is very low. That is why you haven't found any yet. What is your budget for housing? If you're fine with a not-so-fancy place you might find a place with rent that cheap. I'm not in Windsor but can help you search online. Besides kijiji, many schools have off-campus housing sites. Have you checked their off campus housing sites? 2 Likes |
