I got a U.S. Student visa without much stress..the consular didn't ask me much questions..he was a very nice man..the most shocking part was that he didn't even bother to go through any of my documents and at the end of the day he called me son and started advising me on what to do when I get to the airport In New York..two weeks later the same consular interviewed my elder brother without much stress and no showing of any documents..but when my bro got to where he was to pick up his passport,he discover that his passport wasn't ready for pick up..and after which he received a mail for him to come back to the embassy..on getting the embassy his visa was denied without any reason..the man only told him that we have looked into ur application and we find out we can not give u the visa...right now he is confuse as to why his visa was recalled and deny..please a need your suggestions on this..thanks guys...

Bro, can you explain to us what happened during your first interview, it's possible there was an information you gave the embassy then and you aren't in tune with it again.

Well higher power reverse the VO decision maybe they observed that the VO does not conduct the interview well.

You want suggestion when you have issues but you didn't drop your transcripts so that it can solve other people problem.. Abi you never thought of that?

People transcripts have solved loads of people issues if you don't know

To me what you did is selfishness and that's what is killing this generation

It's possible during your first interview you submitted fraudulent documents which they discover and ban you.
Bro check back your first interview well you will know the problem since according to you no serious question was asked and visa refused, if you are sure nothing as such and so far you are pure then you have to go for serious prayers because something don't want you to move ahead....

True this. Let's learn to help one another just like our predecessors on here have done (and are still doing). God bless us all.

After clicking on visa fees, it will load to next page, just click on select in the box showing STANLEY and it will load again , click on select again in the box show STANLEY, it will also load and click on make new payment it will load to the page where you will be able to fill transaction details click the box opposite select visa category it will show all visa category..

I did that on my phone now using safari and i can view all visa category, try and use google chrome on your laptop maybe it's the browser error

Go back to your appointment page and log in then look at the left corner you will see emergency request which is under cancel appointment click on it and follow the instructions.

Make sure you have scanned copy of your international passport data page, i20, sevis fee receipt, ds160 confirmation page and appointment confirmation page then upload it because this will be needed to approve your emergency request.

sharing an interview session at a cpnsulate publicly is discretionary and NOONE should be under any compulsion to share same here

if Mr A decides to share his and I benefit from it is solely his pot of Egusi soup.

Ya'll should take a cold pill calling someone who hdecided not to share an interview conversation Selfish is unbecoming, inappropriate and totally authoritarian

You are on a very good path to obtaining multiple scholarships /graduate assistantship. Here's what you do. Don't be in a hurry to write the GRE. You might be very sound, especially with ur first class degree. But with inadequate preparation, u might flunk GRE. So don't be in a hurry. Take ur time.(Maybe about 2months)Prepare well, Ace the bloody exam. You Nigerian CGPA should put you on 3.5 or 3.6 /4.0 American scale. While you are preparing for your GRE, look for schools, I would encourage at least 4 schools. You would want these schools with their GRE codes handy on the exam day, so you can send your scores at once to them. Take the TOEFL too.. It is quite an easy exam. So you should book ur appointment for both of them. 2weeks is too much to prepare for TOEFL self. But try that. Most Good American schools and some Canadian ones need TOEFL.. The US Embassy ask for standardized test result too. And it make them see you as serious, if you take both exams. In my case I didnt need to take TOEFL, but I did. Just for the embassy sake. Although I ended up not being asked the standardized test questions though. Bottom line. Don't rush. You have time to prepare for fall admission. You should have written both ur exams by let's say February.
If you went to a federal school. I think a good advice would be to start processing ur Transcript now. Cos those people are evil. Same trend in most federal universities. My 2cents.
one more thing bro, I have decided to take both exams by February but where I need more clarification is the admission process and scholarship schemes. Can we discuss privately via email sir?
Thanks for your time so far.

Dude
I don't know you and I don't intend to trade words with you

This thread has always been about sharing information and being of kindred spirit. That is why it has helped a lot of people. If everyone was as selfish as he was, this thread wont survive!

Hello, sir (I presume you are male). First off, you made a valid point about it being one's perogative to decide whether to post your transcript on here or not but I suppose what is good for the goose is good for the gander; If I get you right it is okay not to share your experience and give firsthand tips but perfectly alright to come back on the same platform to seek for help? You see the world can't be a better place If we all keep ideas and informations that can liberate our fellow countrymen to ourselves. Frankly, there is no other word for it than "selfish" maybe "self-centered" might sit well with you.

That said, I am sorry about your elder brother@Emrey, It must have been really unfortunate for his successful interview to be overruled; speaking from his own perspective ofcourse. It's not so easy to determine why the V.o's decision was cancelled; like oga walspring suggested, probably somethings went down behind the scenes. however, I urge your bro to re-apply and wish him the best of luck this time around.
