Hello, ozy4christ. She's not a begger, but she needs the help of well-meaning people to help her achieve her dreams. I don't know what aim you think I want to achieve by sharing her story here, but if you think it's for personal financial gains then I really am sorry for you.
Lend a helping hand if you can, and if you can't don't discourage people who want to.

Thank you. I am not the originator of this kind gesture, I just contributed my part and encouraged people to do the same. Yes, the initiator has contacted the girl and her mum concerning the trust fund. I wouldn't mind people coming together to help me achieve my dreams.
Sincerely, educate yourself by perusing the #GroundnutGirl hashtag on Twitter.

Well, we can never rule that out completely. However, I am of the opinion that our first reaction to things like this shouldn't be disbelief. I guess it all boils down to the image Nigerians have created for themselves as fraudsters and people who are not to be trusted with money.
At the end of the day, it is your money and you should use it for a cause you believe in. Regards.
