Hello people! Please I have a question oo. I just got a mail from WES that my assessment is ready. I only sent my certificate to them and I'm sure they received it. But my transcript was just sent yesterday and I know for sure that its enroute. Can they do assessment with just the degree certificate? Should I be worried?

I don't think you should be worried.
I saw on another site that, sometimes they evaluate with just certificates. I guess depending on the country of study or school of study.

Hi everyone,

I am new in this thread. Please I need candid advice. My wife was born British and we have been married for 6 years now living in Nigeria. She just recently been issued her Adult British passport for the first time in Nigeria. She want to move to the UK, but I am convincing her to consider Canada instead with her British Passport. Please what chances does she have? Can she use her British passport to settle in Canada and me has her dependant? If so, how do we go about it. Thanks you.
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by dupyshoo: 11:09am On Dec 11, 2015
Although, British citizens do not require visa to visit Canada, this only applies to visit visas. She will have to apply like everyone else for work visa and PR.

Therefore, relocating to UK for her might be easier. However, it is not straightforward to bring in dependants as she must be working and earning a required amount (about £18600, not sure of the exact amount though) before she can invite her spouse over to the UK.

Yes I quite aware to UK financial requirement for spouse visa. That's why I looking at Canada. Would it be advantageous for her to apply with me as her dependent. Would her British passport give her any levage over her Nigerian passport. What programme would she aplied for with M.Sc degree. Or I applied with her as my dependent. If she to do the application, can she do it from the UK? Thanks.
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by dupyshoo: 12:59pm On Dec 11, 2015
There is no advantage in applying with British passport? There is also no advantage in applying from the UK. It could even be a disadvantage cos if her application is sent to local VO, accra seems to process application faster than UK.

With her MSc., she might be able to apply for PR via express entry if she has worked full time for atleast a year. Try to read the first page to get more details about express entry.

Hello people, im new to this thread. Hubby and i are considering this canada relocation. Pardon me as i have not read through the whole thread, but can someone kindly help with the following information:

1. At an average, how long does it take to process the express entry i.e from when you apply till when you are selected (assuming you already have the ietls, wes, etc to meet the required 67points)
2. If you are selected, how long do you have to relocate to canada before they cancel the residency
3. My hubby has a Bsc and masters; i have a bsc and acca (professional exam); who stands a better chance being the principal applicant

Thank you.

U can go through the study route. Let her get admission for a programme into a canadian institution and apply for TRV(study) and u can apply for SOWP alongside with her. You will be entitled to same duration she will have to study(2yrs),then u can decide wat next after that PGWP or EE..

Modified: If you are gonna use her MSC, then EE it is straight away from wherever..Apply dupyshoo's advice.

Thanks for the advise. I will encourage to visit first using her British passport. If she like the country then we can do try the EE route. Founately she has relatives in Canada to stay with.

Thanks for the study route. I guess I would rather try the EE route. Should I be the principal applicant with my Nigerian passport? I more educationally qualified than her as I have a PhD and I have been working since 1999. She has been on self employment since 2001.

My application is still in process. I guess CIC are not processing application as fast as before cos of the refugees that the government plan to bring into Canada.

There is no difference between applying from here and naija. The processes are the same. It might even be more expensive cos Medicals here cost about £300.She will need PCC from both UK and naija.

With regard to the proof of fund, you will need to write a letter to support the transfer of fund to your wife's account. I don't think there is need to show d source of your fund.

The WES status reads "Waiting for required documents".

Please, any help/advise would be appreciated.

Google is your friend. If someone gives you the list it means they'll have to do your research for you.

Do you know anyone in Canada? I will advise you to scan your wife's degree certificate and sent it to them so they can help you print it out and mail it to WES. (Its way cheaper that way). Hopefully they will start working with that pending the time the transcripts will be ready. If they successfully verify your certificate they might eventually not need the transcript. Good luck!

Am unable to read ur PM...the nairaland check message link kept directing me to gmail and my nairaland email is yahoo...

To ur question, Since your wife status with WES still reads "Waiting for required documents". WES is yet to receive photocopy of your wife's degree certificate. I'll suggest she send a copy immediately via DHL, EMS post or have the package registered at the post office and make sure you have a tracking number for the package. Once WES receive a copy of the certificate and you have fully paid her WES fee. OOU will be contacted and your wife's status will change to "Waiting for verification from institution". Once OOU verify her certificate, a WES report will be issued... Enjoy ur weekend..

Hello everybody! You are doing great job here.

Please I need explicit advice on how to go about this express entry.
I am an HND holder in Industrial Safety Technology "upper credit" from PTI.
I did my one year industrial Training with Warri Refining and Petrochemical company,
I finished my NYSC service March this year,
Just returned from South Korea from a 5 months training on ship design.
Through out my stay in korea, I read extensively on Canadian express entry and i've made plans already to apply.
I just registered for my NEBOSH exam and it will commence as from January 18. I did this because Safety is a regulated profession all over the world and having a NEBOSH IGC cert will make me an automatic member of IIRSM and TechIOSH, thereby boosting my job level.
Please I have only one year experience on safety and I got that during my IT. I have gone through th NOC and it matches what I did. Please can I also use my work/training in korea to apply for another NOC? Like draftsman or so?
Please can anyone with materials on GT IELTS help me with the materials as I will like to prepare for it by February. Also anybody with links to which I can register for GT IELTS "cheapest oh" should help me with it. My email is Akexstinger@yahoo.com
Thanks
