mavverick: Yes Spyder880 has mentioned something about tokumbo kitchen sinks being more durable than the new ones in one of his threads. We wait to see. Maybe consider for commercial building but I think I will rather spend more cash and get the best. I need to visit that orile soon. |

Re: General Topic Thread-To Discuss Anything And Everything in Building Construction by mavverick: 7:02pm On Dec 10, 2015 |
EgunMogaji: Yes bro. The ones they have thrown away in foreign lands. Lol The reason is that in foreign countries you cannot call a sink stainless steel unless it's actually stainless steel, same doesn't hold in nija where our importers sometimes tell the manufacturers to mix it with other impurities. The result is rust after some time. This is why the used one which is 100% stainless steel is better. Also there is a spray one can buy which reinstates stainless steel to sparkling shine again. So that used stainless steel would soon become new in nija lol. |

mavverick: Well I guess I have to get of my high horse because we do have such here too even off of eBay. You can buy damaged in transit or display high dollar household accessories for cheaps. I watched a UK show where a homeowner who was running out of budget bought a bathroom sink on eBay for GBP200 and repaired it for another GBP150 to like new condish. The original item sells for GBP3,000 |

rotecch77: Ok am just seeing this, I think the brother has said it. It all depends on the origin country and the product spec. For example, if you look at Thailand sink, there are also UK standard Thailand sinks. It all depends on the importers wants. Those guys u met at orile don't want to render service, they just want to sell what they think can b sold easily. Turkey sinks is another very good one. And yes fairly used sink may be better. But there are very good new ones that can match them up In terms of durability and also of good price |
Re: General Topic Thread-To Discuss Anything And Everything in Building Construction by mavverick: 9:44am On Dec 11, 2015 |
EndiaSami: If i want one that would never rust, be UK standard and pure stainless steel. which would you recommend and how much is it last ? I dont care what country it is made, I just need something that can last for like 20 years. |

3strike: Bro. How you doing. I can't remember but I think it's like 30 or 50 know for a 1 phase but I know 3 phase cost like 70k. You will need to fill in a form and then get it stamped by a contractor. I was vexed at the cost of a 3 phase but apparently there is a way to do it such that you only need a single 3 phase and all the others can be 1 phase. I intend to put main or compound circuit on 3 phase which will power all communal lights/borehole/malls house etc and then all tenants will. Be single phase. Electrician said you can use a fat cable can't remember the capacity to supply your 1 phase from your master 3 phase. I was at adeniji a few days ago to buy cables. The idea is to avoid the cost of 3 phase meters all the way round. I will ping you my nepa guys contact. I'm happy to hear you are progressing well bro. 1 Like |

Speaking of sinks. Costco has the nice combo on display today. It includes the sink and the faucet. I rapped on the sink with my knuckles and al I heard were thuds - perfect. And if Costco says it's stainless then it is. These are the kinds of things/deals that I would be sourcing for private homeowners. You slumlords and slum ladies can do the pre owned sinks. I kid I kid put down the spikes 1 Share

3strike:I think you are in eko disco and my contact there told me 68k for 3 phase. I maintain that I sm not paying any egunje and will try to see what I can do in the next week or so. My advice go straight to their issuing office in agungi. IKEDC are currently issuing it free of charge. |

EgunMogaji: This kitchen sink was sold to me for $225 three months ago at Lowes. It is one of the stuff I bought for my own project. The bad aspect of the sink is the faucet's review. I read the review recently and it is widely known the faucet is bad. I intend to go to Lowes and get a new faucet. But overall, the sink worth it. It is super wide and deep. The stainless doesn't get scratched. |
Re: General Topic Thread-To Discuss Anything And Everything in Building Construction by Nobody: 2:49am On Dec 12, 2015 |
FastShipping: Yeah I can kinda see how the faucet might be the weakest link as a cheapie item. The sink is very well made and insulated. I like the design of that faucet though, I'll like to have one directly over the stove. |
Re: General Topic Thread-To Discuss Anything And Everything in Building Construction by FastShipping: 2:55am On Dec 12, 2015 |
EgunMogaji: Very nice sink. I used my car key to scratch it and it hardly scratched. I love the fact that it is top mount sink with just one faucet hole. Overall, I have to rate it 85%. I rate it that low because of the faucet. I have seen a faucet online for $249.95 that I really like. All my bathrooms and kitchen stuff are stainless steel. No chrome materials for me. |

3strike: I recently got 2 Units of the Prepaid 1 Phase for N24,832 + Processing Fees of 5,000 Total=N29,832.00 per meter, for the two flats in my BQ. I believe they told me 3 Phase is about N68,000 each or about that. But that was also in Office at Sango. Hajji M.

mufutau55, remember i was telling you about my friend whose father scammed him of his building? My friend gave his sister #3m to buy him a simple bungalow. This was just this September. But the owner of the house changed her mind the last minutes to closing the deal, that she wanted to sell bcus she was broke. Now she's isnt selling anymore. But his sister, instead of telling my friend about it, she actually did something diff and creative. She called him today to inform him that the money he sent was used to build a house. In fact, i saw the picx. The house was built in just 2 months. Very neat and beautiful on a plot of land. It's like a dream come through for my friend. She said had she told him that the deal was cancelled, he might diverted the money to his dad to continue the abandoned project. He wants to go home so bad to meet his family but could not bcus papa was wasting his time and resources. The house is completed with roof on it. And it's even modern design for only 3m. But his dad used 7m to build up lintel level. No windows and doors....nothing. Just decking. He's been building the house since 2010 but officially started in 2013. See the diff?. Obviously, my conclusion is papa doesnt want any good for him. Period. I was told he has track record of bad dealings with family. |

Empiree: My brother, can you believe that kind of story? This is his own father... if a father can do that to a son, imagine then the outsiders. And God bless the sister. Who else should you trust, a father who is supposed to be motivating his son, lavishing his son's money. Hajji M. |
