I actually thank God for Unilorin's rejection because UI discovery is like the best thing that ever happenned to me. I'll still keep it secret till I gained admission. I am neither telling my family nor friends, it's only my NL friends that knows it. I can't wait to write jamb!

...
REASONS WHY I WILL CHOOSE UI

1. Regard for merit.
2. The only Nigerian University in the top 1000 in the world.
3. 8th best in Africa.
4. Number 1 in Nigeria based on NUC ranking!
5. Ibadan is one of the cheapest city in Nigeria to live in.
6. It's closer to Lagos and also just a night travel away from Jos or Gombe (unlike Ilorin where I have to spend like 2 days coming from Gombe).
7. I don't know the fees yet but I know I won't pay a compulsory fee for gadgets and other outrageous accessories.
8. I might have less stress to balance with my studies, like transportation palava and queues
9. I honestly don't wanna school in the north as i've been there, done that.
10. I am from the catchment area.

So why will I settle for less when I can go for the best and attain the best?
I can't settle 4 less, i am meant to be the best. It's not how far, but how well!

...
It is upto you though, make intensive research and follow your heart.
I suddenly have the zeal and passion to read Chemistry, Physics, Maths and English accordingly. Jamb is just 2 months away!
Trust me with confidence, I'm already feeling like *in Olatunji21's voice*

...
Why won't I thank God for Unilorin's rejection when I can be in UI in only 9 months time? I'll get a job and get paid for these period and still upgrade my Computer programming skillz to exactly where I want it to be, where I will start attracting money init. #OWO NI KOKO

I didn't register oo, I don't like early registration of cbt exams. The jamb exams is going to be on the 29 feb-14th march. I want to write it between 11th-14th march so I'll register late. I need me some time for last minute revision, it helps me alot.
Thanks

Have a beautiful Sunday in the Illest City, you are beautiful!
Re: Unilorin Utme 2015/2016 Aspirants by Elijah348(m): 11:44am On Dec 13, 2015
Good morning to you all,
I seldom post on this thread, not because I lack what to say but because I lack the courage.
I'll say these things in a summarised pattern, since I hate typing on my phone.

1. Unilorin didn't err, you did.
Many students I've seen that choose Unilorin as their preferred choice didn't do so because they made researches about the SCH, the life style, the catchment the stress and everything needed to gain entrance and be a bonafide UNILORITE .... They only applied because ... It is the fastest federal university in Nigeria and also the most stable.
But then they didn't stop to realise that several thousands also feel the same way, hence you have a sxh with a capacity for 7-8k being tossled and hustled by more than 10k students.

2. They are other federal universities without much hustle in getting in, why Unilorin??

Here most students are blinded by name, fame, popularity, peers and so on, because I can tell you for a fact that there are more than 10 universities (federal) in Nigeria many of which have good and stable calendars and yet you all don't patronise them until there is no more choice.

3. Why Unilorin seems unfair and biased.

Unilorin used a lot of criteria to pic students ranging from performance to catchment areas. But it is not only limited to these, in a case where more students meet up with these, they try to admit more than they should and when that fails like it did this year ... They use other means that I am not aware of. (So don't ask me)

Que Sera Sera.

2014 I was more dejected than most of you are right now, I did some things that are now affecting me all in the name of admission but later on i realised that "what will be, will be" and they are more routes to success than Unilorin .... After that realisation I had peace. You will also have peace when you do the same.
.
Always have plan B,C,D

Some of you have put so much hope in Unilorin that you fail to ask yourself the great What If? .... You should not only have a plan B, have other plans so that when one doesn't work you move to the other plans

Anxiety kills gradually

You may think that you have seen a fair share if Unilorin anxiety pills .... Buh naa, it doesn't stop at getting admitted ... The anxiety continues .... So speaking grammar online ain't nothing fa .... Unilorin no send.

All in all let God have a say in decisions you make ....
#SETH

Good day boss. You are my bro and simultaneously my boss, but there are a thousand and one reservations to your post. Saying going to UIL is equivalent to settling for less is somehow.Well, her students are humans and she still deserves a little of respect. I wouldn't go into Institutional comparative analysis since You' re someone I do know well, thus I ought be careful with my choice of words since the polity is already heated. Anyway, All the best bro.
