I seldom post on this thread, not because I lack what to say but because I lack the courage.
I'll say these things in a summarised pattern, since I hate typing on my phone.

1. Unilorin didn't err, you did.
Many students I've seen that choose Unilorin as their preferred choice didn't do so because they made researches about the SCH, the life style, the catchment the stress and everything needed to gain entrance and be a bonafide UNILORITE .... They only applied because ... It is the fastest federal university in Nigeria and also the most stable.
But then they didn't stop to realise that several thousands also feel the same way, hence you have a sxh with a capacity for 7-8k being tossled and hustled by more than 10k students.

2. They are other federal universities without much hustle in getting in, why Unilorin??

Here most students are blinded by name, fame, popularity, peers and so on, because I can tell you for a fact that there are more than 10 universities (federal) in Nigeria many of which have good and stable calendars and yet you all don't patronise them until there is no more choice.

3. Why Unilorin seems unfair and biased.

Unilorin used a lot of criteria to pic students ranging from performance to catchment areas. But it is not only limited to these, in a case where more students meet up with these, they try to admit more than they should and when that fails like it did this year ... They use other means that I am not aware of. (So don't ask me)

Que Sera Sera.

2014 I was more dejected than most of you are right now, I did some things that are now affecting me all in the name of admission but later on i realised that "what will be, will be" and they are more routes to success than Unilorin .... After that realisation I had peace. You will also have peace when you do the same.
.
Always have plan B,C,D

Some of you have put so much hope in Unilorin that you fail to ask yourself the great What If? .... You should not only have a plan B, have other plans so that when one doesn't work you move to the other plans

Anxiety kills gradually

You may think that you have seen a fair share if Unilorin anxiety pills .... Buh naa, it doesn't stop at getting admitted ... The anxiety continues. [/s]
This is the Epitome of Shenanigans
chosin a uni in nigeria is now a mistake weda uil or any.
U av spiritual powers to knw dat people didn't have plan B.
How many av committed suicide bcus dy weren't admitted?
All wat u typed is out of context. Neither Unilorin nor d students made mistake. Peace-OUT.

Hmmm,U.I now reigning, everybody is choosing them, remember Unilorin was once a merit school, but due to most sought cus of security no strike and merit, their system changed, true to d matter they cant admit all dat pass, imagine wen 30000 plus ar competing for just an admission nt up to 9000 space, since jamb refuse to increase it,take medicine for example wen their quota is 150 and almost 200 got above 80,pls what do u expect dem to do,and more dan 500 score between 70 to 80,how do u expect then to do it,So they cant admit all that pass thats the truth, and i dont think there is any school that can admit all their candidate that pass, The reason why U.i try that is just cus they ar nt plenty, they admit nt up to 4000 sef

What am saying in essence is That lets blame the government and not Unilorin, i promise you when like 100,000 choose U.i just like how they choose Unilorin and lets see how transparent they are,If the government have utilize all school,no strike stable calender good security and standard education, i see no reason why i will leave FUTA in my state and come and school in Unilorin, same goes to everyone,if all school ar good everybody will school in his state or close state around,so please nobody shud curse unilorin or spoil their reputation, and to those who just want to register jamb, pls just choose a good and less sought to avoid story that touch.

Peace....

Good day boss. You are my bro and simultaneously my boss, but there are a thousand and one reservations to your post. Saying going to UIL is equivalent to settling for less is somehow.Well, her students are humans and she still deserves a little of respect. I wouldn't go into Institutional comparative analysis since You' re someone I do know well, thus I ought be careful with my choice of words since the polity is already heated. Anyway, All the best bro.

I'm so so sorry to sound that way, Temmi believe u me, immediately after that comment, I knew deep down in my heart something was not right, and I truly regretted it, you know I am only human I make mistakes, i am imperfect! I've never been to UI but I doubt if it will be as big and beautiful as ABU. IMHO both UI and ABU are great!

...
REASONS WHY I WILL CHOOSE UI

1. Regard for merit.
2. The only Nigerian University in the top 1000 in the world.
3. 8th best in Africa.
4. Number 1 in Nigeria based on NUC ranking!
5. Ibadan is one of the cheapest city in Nigeria to live in.
6. It's closer to Lagos and also just a night travel away from Jos or Gombe (unlike Ilorin where I have to spend like 2 days coming from Gombe).
7. I don't know the fees yet but I know I won't pay a compulsory fee for gadgets and other outrageous accessories.
8. I might have less stress to balance with my studies, like transportation palava and queues
9. I honestly don't wanna school in the north as i've been there, done that.
10. I am from the catchment area.

So why will I settle for less when I can go for the best and attain the best?
I can't settle 4 less, i am meant to be the best. It's not how far, but how well!

...
It is upto you though, make intensive research and follow your heart.
I suddenly have the zeal and passion to read Chemistry, Physics, Maths and English accordingly. Jamb is just 2 months away!
Trust me with confidence, I'm already feeling like *in Olatunji21's voice*
#WeAreUites#

...
Why won't I thank God for Unilorin's rejection when I can be in UI in only 9 months time? I'll get a job and get paid for these period and still upgrade my Computer programming skillz to exactly where I want it to be, where I will start attracting money init. #OWO NI KOKO

Unilag? Lol
Bro.. Last time I checked, no Nigerian university was in the Best Top 10 Univ in Africa, South Africa dominates dos spots without includin d likes of Egyptian univs n odas.

Abt U.I being d best in Nigeria according to NUC ranking is not true. NUC publicly dissociated itself from d authorship of the previously listed universities ranking in d Nigeria.

Anyone can just cook up some sh*ts n ranked univs based on dem.

The distance from Gombe to Ilorin/Gombe to U.I is baseless. U knw d skul u chose, therefore u ve to make certain sacrifices. It's all part of life n adaptation.

The problem of transport is as a result of d influx of students in d skul. You can't compare UIL & U.I in terms of admission quota.(U.I admitted 3k+ n UIL 7k+, der is a diff). Stress is part of every students daily activities(reduce or increased, it builds u for life after skul wich may be beneficial when working under pressure). The fact that students queue shows d co-ordination n discipline being imparted in dem. Perseverance n Patience.

U cant attach being "the less" to UIL. D skul stil remains wat it is with or without you. Just becos d admission process is crooked doesnt mean d lecturers n students are not good. If dey aren't, der won't be any annual scholar benefits. Universities don't make u d best, U MAKE URSEF THE BEST. They can only train you on what to do.

UIL's rejection may be for ur own benefits. God has His plans. Dnt badmouth d skul cos of dat. 30k+ passed her putme. Tho most pple wu deserved to be admitted wer not e.g yhu, it doesn't change a thing.

I can clearly remember dos times u praise UIL, call dem d best, ur only choice. I can remember u using d same attributes u re now using on U.I on UIL. U said "I can't settle for less, when u ve UIL". What changed??

Am not trying to insult yhu or make u look bad, initially I didn't wanted to quote but I had to do it.

It's unfair blaming UIL on everytin, dey sold d post utme wit hopes of admitting many students(what do dey ve to gain by not admitting much, by admitting more, dey gain most). It was Jamb n der stupid quota dat dashed d hope.

And its also unfair of UIL not admitting on merit. It's fraud.

Bro just chill, if UI was to do u d same way UIL did dis yr(God forbid), am sure u wil stil do d saame way u re doing UIL.

All the best in ur academic pursuits bro. No offense meant and if I might ve stepped on toes. I SINCERELY APOLOGISE.
