Last season Benzema won games for Madrid when things were deadlocked. He is not just at scorer anymore. He does some of the things Ozil would have done that opens the defense wide open for his co-attackers. This season, I think it was against Athletic Madrid, he did similar things but Bale and co stalled his effort.

Sometimes I wonder if it's not same Benzema I do watch. He's is technically gifted, has a good build up work, good final pass and an okay dribbling ability. He scores like the rest top strikers even though it looks like he is more of a false 9.

yea, i know.. Benzema's stat in europe [goals+assist] is enough reason to term him world class, the way he plays is different from the way other attackers do, he's more of a creator, to me ronaldo is the main striker in that madrid team, just like he was in Man.utd with rooney being the provider. i just don't want to stretch the arguement further. Elampiro, Remember rooney and tevez passed the 20goal mark when the were no longer playing with ronaldo.
