Sounds just like osogbo. My only problem is DT there's so much opportunity for industry in these places but all d young ones have fled to one city or d other after university.

We haven't had light for 3 days now in my area in Lagos. We used to have steady light until our line was changed.
The person that brought the idea of changing our line was very f00lish I must say.

When you want to assess it in totality, it is Osun State Nigeria,
that power has being overstable for many years. Ask peeps out there.

Mhmm I use prepaid meters and pay on average 4000 monthly. But u can't compare d bills cos it might be a house wt heavy usage vs somewhere wt light usage.
Do you consider your house a 'heavy usage' one?

We once drove up to Makeke and took the back roads through Ojirami the Unemes and other places in Akoko Edo down back to Auchi then Benin City. I still think of going to live the rest of my life there.

OP go to JEBBA in Niger state. I've been there couple of times and never witness power outage.

Not just jebba but most part of niger state, back in 99 when I was schooling in bida, we used to go a whole semester without power outage

The reason being that 330/130 kva lines probably passed through your village. So you are using a special a special stepdown distribution substation (transformer)

silvermania:
When I say stable i mean uninterupted also i mean a situation where by you can never have a flat battery for even year. There are times i visit my home town just for a visit and I might end up staying for weeks, during those periods come rain or shining there won't be any power outage. It has been like that for many years according to my dad. Enough said, am talking about the largerst local government area in Nigeria, Akoko edo in Edo state. If you doubt me just take a visit there for high phone users your power bank will be useless.
Re: Akoko Edo Where You Can Have Stable Power Supply by Rolings: 2:53pm On Dec 14, 2015
In jos there's a company called nesco that provides light to bukuru, rayfield and environs. Its the first place I get to hear announcement on radio about an impending power outage. Also faults are dealt with promptly even at night and in the rain. What I love also is the incorruptibility of their staff, you owe you are disconnected no abeg.

Do you consider your house a 'heavy usuage' one?

Probably. I work from home. So the house is not empty throughout d day, like most pple. And we use a lot of 'stuff'. Definitely more heavy usage dn someone dts using just 1 fridge, 1 freezer, 1 ac, 1 washing machine.

Life today is full of negative energy. Everyone has a reason to either complain or worry, often stifling happiness. But despite life’s misfortunes, we have to start looking for way to feel comfortable within ourselves. When problems arise, avoid only seeing the negative. - See more at: http://www.truetalkmagazine.com/index.php/inspirational/item/50-get-motivated-overcoming-the-struggle.html#sthash.eVW4dGtX.dpuf
