I beg to disagree with u sir, clarias are more susceptible to diseases than hybrid as chillanfarm farm said Buh clarias grow faster (I mean they are early starter while hybrid takes a while before getting bigger) than hybrid while hybrid prefer fleshy feeds has they are more carnivorous than clarias to make them grow faster, dis is from my own experience and it might be d nature of my land, however both are good if u know their
advantages and disadvantages.

SIR If you dont have steady water source ,then i recommend you use what i call a mini water recycle system and with 300 thousand u can have a capacity of 1000 fish to sell monthly .

Given that you can stock about 1400 to achive average weight of 1000kg in about five months, a 10ft by 20ft concrete pond will be ok. Basis of arriving at this dimension is explained earlier in this thread. Lenght X Width X height of water. Divide by 3 and multiply by 5 (for concrete ponds).
((10X20X4)/3)X5 will give 1333. This size of pond will accomodate 1400 to table size.

This is based on available raw material in my area. Can the kg price be reduce to say N170 and still make good feed with good protein content?
