My take on bleeding Sheikh Zakzaky...He can bleed to death...I don't care. COAS called the Emir to appeal to them to clear from the road but they refused. He (COAS) then called the Governor who I learnt spoke to them but they remained adamant. Haba! What an affront! Are they above the Emir and the Governor or above the law? If their so called leader cannot call his followers to order to behave well, him and his followers deserve whatever they get from the military. The day our military can be ridiculed by any body or group or ethnic, there will be no Nigeria. Let us queue behind our present military who are civil and partisan to fight terrorism and all forms of gangsterism. God bless Nigeria. We who are in the midst of it here knows better than you people in the South writing fake stories about the action of the military. Were this to be during OBJ, it would have been a different strory. Odi and Zaki-Biam will not forget the military in a hurry for messing with them. God bless Nigeria

We have said it times without number that this govt does nt respects human right. If his followers attacked ur convoy as claimed, why attack their leader and bulldozed his house and place of worship? What do u want to achieve by killing hundreds of his followers? Is it that u want to send them into extinction? In democracy there is freedom of association and the right to life. This is pure genocide and every body that believes in the sanctity of life must stand up and condemn this injustice. It is also a message to those shouting Biafra, do it with caution because we are in a military regime now, your own crackdown will be a child play. God bless Nigeria.

[size=18pt]Shite vs Sunni

The split between Shite's and Sunnis began soon after the death of Mohammed.Ê The Sunnis believe that Ali was the last of the rightly guided caliphs ( successors) to Mohammed. The Shiites believe that Ali was the only successor and all future successors should come through his line. The Sunnis do not believe there can be successors to Mohammed.

Today there are important differences between the two major groups in Islam- Those differences are somewhat similar to the differences between Catholics and Protestant in Christianity. The Shia's have supreme religious leaders similar to the Pope who is considered to be a descendant of Ali. The Sunnis do not have one religious leader, instead have distinguished scholars and jurists who issue opinions.
The Shia's glorify Ali and have a strong identification with suffering and martyrdom. On a daily bases the two groups have different calls to prayer, pray somewhat differently. There additional customs that differentiate between the two groups.

Buhari and the burden of Shite Muslims in Nigeria – By Ibrahim Danlami
by Administrator • March 13, 2015

Much has been said about Buhari’s seeming electoral popularity with Northern Nigerian Muslims, especially those of Buhari’s fellow Fulanis and others from the far North. What is largely unsaid but whispered in corners is that Buhari’s popularity with Muslims is not total, as it is found mostly amongst his fellow Sunnis of the fundamentalist stock, to the exclusion of Muslims of other sects Buhari is historically known to detest and hate. This includes most especially Shite Muslims and those from the Sourhwest, who are altogether not considered ‘core’ Muslims by Buhari and his ilk.

Buhari’s aversion to these other Muslims is grounded in history and so deep that he was said to have refused to work very hard to clinch their support in his previous outings as a presidential candidate. That he is now feverishly wooing them is because his duplicitous handlers like El-Rufai and David Axelrod (the American) impressed it upon him to do so, just because it is politically expedient and will assist him to win the presidential election. Yet, it is doubtful that, beyond the elections, Buhari will change his ways, because his sectarianism has long assumed fundamentalist proportions as can be illustrated with the following:

One: When Buhari was a brigade commander during the Shagari regime, a group of Shite Muslims of the Chadian sub-sect engaged in sectarian conflict with Sunni Muslims in the North, which later led to some violence. To contain the crisis, President Shagari ordered Buhari to take police action because the crisis occurred mostly in the area Buhari’s brigade headquarters was stationed. After containing the crisis, Buhari exhibited his hatred of Shites by invading the Republic of Chad, pretending to be in hot pursuit of the ragtag Shites. By doing so, vintage Buhari disobeyed the direct orders of Shagari, his Commander-in-Chief, and thus nearly plunged Nigeria into a needless war with Chad, a friendly country.

Two: it’s on the record that Buhari had publicly demanded that Boko Haram be granted amnesty. He also stated that any attack on Boko Haram amounted to genocide against northern Muslims. Nigerians are well aware of this and it has raised fears that Buhari is a religious bigot. What, however, is more worrisome is the real motive behind Buhari’s anti-Nigerian army statements. The real motive is that, like Buhari, Boko Haram is an extremist Sunni Islamist sect that is as much against Shite Muslims as Buhari has always been. In other words, had Boko Haram been a Shite Muslim sect like the past one from Chad, Buhari would have called for them to be wiped out, just like he had pursued the ones from Chad into Chadian territory, not because of any bravery or patriotism, but because he saw a golden opportunity to settle his little sectarian scores with Shite Muslims. So, the extremist Sunni brotherhood explains why Buhari is so brazenly sympathetic to a Boko Haram that has proved to be as murderous as ISIS, its Sunni terrorist ally in the Middle East.

Three, many more examples of Buhari’s extremist Sunni ideals abound, including the following recent events: The widespread assassination of Shite Islamic clerics by Boko Haram never drew condemnation from Buhari as he had most infamously condemned Nigerian army for any gains it made against Boko Haram. And Buhari took his Sunni Islamic politics abroad when he met with billionaire Saudi Arabian Sunni Muslim billionaires recently in London in his bid to raise money for his dwindling campaign war chest. This was said to have finally revealed him to British Intelligence to the extent that Britain is now beginning to distance itself from Buhari. Most notably, when Buhari arbitrarily cancelled the Lagos metro rail project in 1983, he was reported then to have angrily and hatefully called former Lagos Gov Lateef Jakande an ‘Ahmadiyya’, thus justifying his brutal mistreatment and jailing of Jakande, who was then hailed as the most honest and performing Governor of his era. For those that don’t know, Ahmadiyya is a sect of Muslims that millions of Yorubas belong to but which Sunni Wahhabist Muslim fundamentalists like Buhari see as infidels or pagans and therefore to be persecuted with passion.

Four, Buhari’s openly stated determination to enthrone Sharia all over Nigeria is not driven by his devotion to Islam but by his narrow beliefs in Sunni extremist doctrines. Keep in mind that ISIS and Boko Haram are both extremist Sunni sects that are terrorizing and beheading Shite Muslims the same way they are beheading Christians and other non-Sunni moderate Muslims. Boko Haram, like ISIS has stated that its intention is to impose Sunni Sharia law in Nigeria, just like Buhari has also publicly stated his preference for Sharia over the Nigerian Constitution. In Syria recently, ISIS beheaded a senior Shite police officer for smoking cigarettes, which ISIS considers a sin punishable with death. In Nigeria, Boko Haram has been beheading Shite Muslims who smoke and have publicly seized and burned cigarettes. It was reported in 1983 that Buhari held Shagari that he later violently overthrew in contempt simply because Shagari smoked cigarettes and publicly too.

Finally, so now we have a Buhari that has temporarily suppressed his hatred of moderate Muslims, Shites and Yoruba Muslims simply because he needs their support to become President. One then wonders what Buhari will do to these compatriots once he becomes President. As the saying goes: The true test of a man’s character or excesses is revealed once he has gained power. In the past, Buhari, as an army commander had the power to kill Shite Muslims and he did so to the unreasonable extent of invading a sovereign nation. If he becomes President and thus Commender-in-Chief, it is better left to the imagination what he will do to millions of good Nigerians who are Shite Muslims, Wahhabis, and other thevnon-Sunnis Buhari loves to hate.

This write up is giving more reasons to view Islam in a dark light. Why would to sects
practising the same religion raise arms and hold one another at ransom just because
your ideas are different.

Christianity has the most fractionalized group in the world of religion, they are still
very tolerant since the tide has turned.

Now, someone will come here to talk about "++++++++CRUSADE+++++++++++",
that would not be possible in present day world with all the changes, United Nations
presence and other stuffs.

Many of these islamic sects choose to remain conservative.
Some people should not be acting like SAVAGES in present day world.
