Hello everyone, What an amazing forum and people in it! My wife and I plan to travel to the US in March to deliver in June. We'll be landing at JFK. Has anyone delivered in New Jersey? Specifically JFK Medical Centre or other hospitals in the Edison area? Appreciate anyone referring doctors and fees and hospital fees. Impossible to find the costs online. Thank you so much and God bless. |

Enizo: Try sending the money via western union to your self before you leave or have someone send it after u leave., cheaper than black market. My mum did something like that a week ago via 1st bank, the exchange rate was N199.8 to $1 but u will pay bank charges about N15k + to send $1k, so all in all it will come out to about N216 per $1. Better than black market. But theres a snag, 1st bank says u can only send $1k per transaction, they gave my mum a story i could not quiet understand . Try other banks that send western union. Bank transfer is a no no, even before $went up toN260, bank was changinging at N237 per $ for bank wire transfer, minus fees. |

o.why did you have France refusal stamp on your passport. Me.I forget to submit some document when applying. Vo.Am sorry we can not issue you dis visa Very very annoying VO's....it's sad being rejected for such an important cause as childbirth ..I have been rejected twice..once wen I applied in uk and once from naija...reason being I'm too young and can decide to change my mind and permanent myself wen I reach dia...even with good space of time between both applications.even as I've got good travel history... Now I have ported from singlehood to iyawohood I shall reapply wen kpekusing has yielded fruit with changed name..God willing it will end in praise.. Just follow all that relates to you on this forum and you'll be sharing your success story in no time...I can't wait to share mine when the time comes.. * body sugarlizing *just from reading part 1-3 in a space of 4 days...na real jamb prep oh... 7 Likes |

hellomosquito:@bolded he was the one that took the refusal note, not that his storming out had any influence on the refusal ( I wrote the situation wrongly. Ohh..i guess my mood made me paint the situation wrongly.. My DH left the scene after the VO handed him the refusal note and not before. (who go proud for this kind situation) . Guess the shock of refusal just made him leave sharply without saying a word. Please house I need the way forward. Most answers were dwelling on DH.but it wasn't as I painted. I already edited my main post...biko.help |

Adebuble: He said after the refusal note was given, what should I expect, he claimed their was nothing to wait for again.... I quoted the situation wrongly. Pls advise based on the interview as DH leaving had no effect at all on the refusal.he was the one that took the refusal note sef..i just said that to buttress the refusal shock |

LadyGuinivere:DH 320k while mine is 200k No travel history, the birthing is the first major travel reason we have. All I read here was that questions will change after declaration for birthing but based on what the VO asked it didnt?...and I guessed we were answering based on birthing. Example was how much do we spend for the trip (we said over 14k dolls) who earns 320k# to spend 14k in 2weeks ( based on VO thinking it was vacation my guess though How do we correct this 1. Do we apply together ( DH,me and daughter) or?? 2. When asked reason for refusal, what do I write. Thanks |

greatie: Thanks a lot for your input, I also think one can say more if there is a reason for it, but most post I read will always emphasise do not say anything other than what asked cuz as my interview went on...I guess I ought to had told the VO that her questions weren't for medical cuz it was obvious she didn't ask anything at all in that line but I chose to keep quiet cuz of the don't over smile or talk to the VO thing..(mayb things would had changed if I chipped in) But the scene looked relax cuz she was even smiling to my daughter even after she knew she would refuse. All I need is advise on how to proceed cuz I definitely want to reapply. |

olokings:Yeah you said what I guessed was the problem we had, answering questions cuz we had an assumption it will be medical questions which unfortunately wasn't..although DH didn't say it out but he told me that was what he was thinking... Do we apply (3 of us as b4) or otherwise. What do we put as reason for first refusal in the Ds160. Plus how do we explain if asked in the new interview |

hellomosquito: Apply again and alone...isn't that what everyone has said? What more do you want them to say nah A couple of people applied as a family first and had better luck when they applied as individuals even our dear Ozycy And stick to the questions asked, you don't know the reason for the VO asking any question. In your mind what is a medical question anyways? Cuz why will a simple question such as how much do you want to spend throw you guys off guard? Isn't that a normal question, it's at that point you should have even answered and passed your budget sheet My Friend (not pregnant) was denied cuz they asked her what do you do /how much do you earn and she was like why are you asking, I'm not the one sponsoring myself as indicated in the form, haba, why do people find it hard to just answer questions simply? The fact that you have rehearsed doesn't mean the VO will stick to the script you have in your head The apply alone advice is not necessarily because of what you said about your Dh but if method A doesn't work, try method B. They can serve as your tie to come back home and also since your income isn't 'much', it may make sense for only one person to be applying based on that amount Anyways best of luck 7 Likes |
