TheZed: Usually, banks do not sell canadian dollar, you will get the US dollar equivallent. So you will have to first convert that canadian dollar to US dollar and then use the US$=Naira conversion. |

Garykasparov: I would advise you fund an old account instead, there was no need to open a new one which even you should have known might raise a red flag. I will also like to say this, you have been following this topic for way too long(right from the old thread) and should be helping by answering other people's query by now 2 Likes |

Someone told me that every job has a NOC...but after days of searching..I'm so confused and almost ready to give up! I'm looking for the NOC code for a Senior Seismic Acquisition Specialist who works offshore on a ship. I keep thinking its NOC 2212 but the duties dont really align...or maybe its just english. Some of the duties are • Monitor the recording of seismic and peripheral data to ensure that the quality meets contractual obligation • Ensures logs are maintained at all times during data acquisition • Monitoring the QC products and highlight any marginal or out of spec condition • Operation, maintenance and repair of all equipment and systems within the department to comply with manufacturers specification • Conversant with Workboat operations as a Workman & Backup Coxswain. Please I really need help! Help me figure out the NOC code. Attention gurus and anyone else that might have an idea! |

@MrsM, your NOC is what relates most to: Your Main responsibilities, Job title and Entry requirements. In the NOC search box, type your job title or main responsibilities or the qualification required to work where you work. Then, select the NOC that is closest to what you are and do. Cheers! |

olabokey:You wife should go to the school (transcript office) and speak to the people there. The woman in charge when i collected my transcript in 2012 was very helpful. :PS She should not go and claim right oh, she has to form humble. Does working in Nigeria qualify for this following question under the crs tool "How many years of skilled foreign work experience do you have? AZeD1: Skilled foreign work experience means any skilled work experience obtained outside Canada so yes, working in Nigeria counts. 1 Like |

ejijummy: What you did is way too bad, people like you are the ones not making those who truly qualify not to get a chance. For you to have gotten that LAA, it's either you claimed you have a close relative or claimed your occupation is regulated and you have the license to practice plus, possibly chose your destination is outside Winnipeg. Even if you get someone to support your application, how will you prove close relative with the person, as you must show birth certificates(could be that of either parents, and then the children or even for sibling which will require both of you have same parents and that's impossible as the person's details is already on their system) to declare the connection. If they eventually find out your claims are false, you may be banned from entering Canada for 5years or even more. What you also may not know is that these folks have a way of monitoring our online activities and may possibly find you out with this kind of post. Someone testified they actually went to check his LinkedIn profile. I suggest you look for other opportunities 5 Likes |

MrsM: 2212 still seems the closest, I checked 7372 but it's totally off track while the remaining like 8412 I think, won't qualify. I guess you may have to find a way of tailoring your duties to 2212 as i see some of the duties are similar otherwise, you look for another noc that fits more of what you do but won't be in your line e.g, it appears some of what you do is administrative inclined. In addition, if you can let us know where you work and a full details of what you do, we might have a better suggestion |

Hi Guys. Thanks for the good job. I actually read the thread from the first page to the last. Of course with my pen and paper jotting down the needful. With all i ve read the application process seems straight forward as all the questions i'ld have asked have been properly addressed except for this:what IETLS test is applicable to Canada Immigration pls? General or Academic. It says general on ietls website. Im just asking to be very sure. Thanks |
