See the horrible way officials treated road users who failed to use pedestrian bridges.Officials were pictured arresting people in different areas in Lagos who failed to use pedestrian bridges when crossing highways and major roads Lagos. Is this acceptable or abuse of power? Source: http://trezzy2..com.ng/2015/12/see-what-officials-did-to-traffic.html 5 Likes

Serves them right, it's funny how people will see pedestrian bridges and would still go ahead to cross the road, if there are no bridges that's a different thing 26 Likes |

stephenduru:Unacceptable. Fine them. People will adjust better when there is an economic incentive to change. Edit; question of if they cannot pay fines? Give them community service./delay their time by taking them for an hour of civic classes. Most of these people do this cos they want to quickly go somewhere. If he knows, he will be delayed by an hour, he will sacrifice the ten minutes or more to use the right option. Making people frog jump is barbaric. Simple. They are creative ways to enforce the use or non use of pedestrian bridges. We don't live in a Gestapo state. These actions of para military groups telling people to frog jump has rippling effects. It confers unnecessary powers on them. 49 Likes 1 Share |

Crossing the highway is sweeter and faster than climbing that mountain called pedestrian bridge especially the one at palmgrove. You will think you are climbing mount arafat. 2 Likes 1 Share |

That's the punishment for disobeying the law. It is better than lying down in an orthopaedic hospital or worse still, in a mortuary. 1 Like |

In as much as i am against such forceful approach.i think this is simply the best way to make lagosians obey the law. Do you know how many people are knocked down weekly while crossing the road, even when the pedestrian bridge is close-by. The other day i saw a woman carrying a baby, holding a boy and still carrying her bag and trying to cross the road......yet the pedestrian bridge is few meters away. The little boy was almost knocked down by a moving car...simply because the woman was dragging the little boy to run,and the boy looked tired and couldnt run at her pace.....People started cursing the woman-why on earth will she do that. Funny enough when you are driving and see people trying to cross the road, the simply stroll or walk even when they know its a high way. Along ikorodu road is a dead trap daily, people are knocked down. Why is it that we find it very difficult to obey simply law? Yet we complain when the law is forcefully enforced. 5 Likes |

Nigerians will complain the government did not provide bridge for them and when it's done they will abandon the same bridge built with millions and prefer facing crazy drivers risking their lives like they kept an extra one at home Psalm18: How much do you think that man serving punishment have in his account, but trust me after that 10 to 30 mins exercise, trust me the man will learn his lesson from body pains he will experience for days. 3 Likes |
