I'm sorry about your refusal. If you are only 3 months gone then you still have enough time to apply again...and again. First, let's set the right expectations here: you may be refused the visa even after you reapply. Secondly, applying alone may still get you refused. (When wifey applied alone after we were both refused the first time, she was still denied) Your hubby erred obviously on questioning the VO's motive for asking the question and the worst that may happen is that y'all may be penalized for that attitude but do not despair, even that is nothing. Feel free to apply also again. To save cost on the visa fees, while also hoping you can handle yourself during the interview, apply alone. I hope that goes in your favour and you get your visa. Otherwise, y'all can then apply together. Be prepared to answer the salient question, "why were you denied?" Also do not misrepresent, stick to your original story and have all requisite documentation ready Oga may have slight effed up but we all don't know him well enough to vilify him. All the best madam and come back to give your story (I pray it is a testimony) hellomosquito: 4 Likes |

Morning House! Please how many months prior should my bank statement be? Is 3 months okay? I intend for my wife to apply first. If she is asked why i am not with her or why i am not applying for a visa, what is the best response to the possible question? Thanks |
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 3 by firsttymum(f): 9:28am On Dec 17, 2015 |
nupital:6 months for the bank statement. What's the truth to ur question? The common answer to that question is "indispensable because of work" Anyway what's ur real reason let's work around it |

firsttymum: Thanks again for the reply! The bank statement has been inconsistent for some months now. I have a project that i am doing and its zeros my balance. With this new development, i would stop the project and concentrate on funding the account appropriately. I can start that this month till March/April we intend applying. But that would only be a solid 4-5 months statement. Confused! Reason for Wife's visa first: Since i have been refused based on my family and siblings being in the US and no strong ties to Nigeria, i want my wife to apply first, then i go after she has been given. Thanks yet again! |

Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 3 by bbaby84(f): 10:15am On Dec 17, 2015 |
hellomosquito: Lmao @ buhari..... Okay so I said that because a few years ago someone very close to me went to have her baby in the US and when they went to renew (no drop box then) the VO had seen receipts and was satisfied but then asked her why she chose to have her baby in the US she replied "I have a right to have my baby anywhere I want' na so the VO vex say you don't have a right to have your baby in the US it's a priviledge (needless to say the summer that year wasn't in the states) Sometimes we may come across as feeling entitled and not know it esp when you've done your homework and declared your intentions you may feel like you should automatically get it. I advice you to re-apply with or without hubby it's up to both of you. Also, pray about it and answer questions asked regardless of if you feel it's relevant to the birthing intentions or not. All the best. 7 Likes |

Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 3 by nupital: 11:00am On Dec 17, 2015 |
firsttymum: I am very sorry for the back and forth. Please understand. My wife has her own statement which would have about 2 million and be for 6 months. I have about 500k in an account (not my main account, used to save cash) and like 50k in my salary account now which was in the same region of 50 -100k balance in October and November. I will be able to make it 3 million around March mainly from Salary and other side business. Would that be adequate? Thanks |

firsttymum: I dey, just praying make naira nor just enter ground with the way e dey crash... GT nor reliable nothing, the matter pass irregular kinikan with PCOS. 2, 3 people dey report different rates for same day! It's 250 now though.. @ Dem Apple19, neks31, favoredgal & others having babies in this crazy end time.. many grease to more than una elbows, even una ankles & wrists cos na real WERK (*Nana west African Idol's voice*) Flashback to April when Nerf was porting & she informed me she bought USD @ 205/6 or 7 in Yaba, I scolded her for being hasty, that the dollars from election will soon flood the market & we will get back the 160+ rate... It was the 2 weeks that USD fell after result declaration that played with my mind & I believed Nigerians are now patriotic, never knew I be major learner!! To think same me was almost doing break dance when someone helped me use paypal to buy stuff online for 220!! Na only God fit help, crude oil now 36$, even less than budgetary benchmark. 2 Likes |

So I have made several calls about this form A thing. First of all, Diamond says CBN doesn't approve it for delivery purposes so they don't even do it. Wema says the procedure is very long and the documentation is tiring. You will have to open an account, run it for 6 months, get letters from a specialist hospital, get letters from the receiving hospital and approval is even at the mercy of cbn. The rarely approve it even after going through these rigors. I just don't have an idea of what to do again really. Any other person with alternatives? 1 Like |

bigfido: Form A is a bit of bottleneck, are you going to pay before being serviced, despite not knowing what & what you are going to pay for? BTW, it will still get worse before it improves. It's already 275 in Abuja. CBN has reduced BDC's allocation to 10k per week from 30k, now it's the folks hoarding USD that are now capitalising on the shortfall to mark up the rates.... 199.5 in July here ooo, 207 in August seems like a lifetime away. |

nupital: Yes, u can still print 6months, there is something called opening and closing balance, it doesn't matter what d opening balance is, the VO wld look out for consistency and closing balance to be sure you can afford the trip with something to fall back on when you return. You may be lucky and they won't even ask to see the statement of account. Good Luck 1 Like |

Popri: Hummnn.... Na wa! Chicago is broke, hence the hostility. The midwives in my hosp were asking me why I wanted to pay? No one really comes in and pay cash. What most people do is come in have their baby and leave, medicaid handles everything (emphasis on South American women though). I'm porting to Alaska for my next baby! Who's with me? 1 Like |
