when u answered earlier that the 270 naira rate to a dollar that I mentioned was the black-market rate,I intentionally kept quiet so as not to argue,I guess now you know better.

Oga, as at then it was the black market rate not what banks were charging on their cards. GTB was still 249.99 as at yesterday, diamond charged 241.3 as at this morning. This is a recent development...very recent as even the GTBank help on twitter said they do not have a fixed rate at the moment so could not quote any for me.

...and all these "i told you so" and prediction thing is not helping the situation so please proffer a solution or just look and pass sir

I made a payment of $1400 via STANBIC BANK MASTER CARD.

To my greatest surprise, they deducted 260.78 Naira / $1.

O boy na so I cancel the order ooooooo. Ahh no risk again.


I am done. Finally. I give up and bow out.

Not only is the naira weakening but the dollar has also grown in strength seriously over months now. I used to trade EUR/USD at 1.6xxx, 1.5xxx 1.4xxx but right now EUR/USD is about 1.08647. The USD has basically caught up with the euro so it's not surprising that their naira equivalents are nearly same.

cheesy ok no problem .i will just siddon and look. But the solution to it is right I front of you and many are already taking advantage of it . Ask businessmen in town although I know they wont tell you..have a nice day.
