Yimu. If Jonathan were in power the naira will improve against the dollar. It's always like that under the PDP government. The dollar might rise during election period but after elections, the naira bounces back. Unfortunately that's no longer the case as our dullard president seems clueless.

You are wrong. The official exhange rate is still about N197 to a dollar which is still bad news to those exporting or receiving payments through banks. As long as you don't get physical dollar to exchange in black market this is no good news

Are you sure? Don't you know the banks too are taking the advantage of falling naira, competing with black markets for maximum profits.

Most banks exchange rate starts from 245/$ on daily basis

This country's economy is collapsing, thus in serious need of redemption. Seems like all sectors are in disarray!

that is black market rate (middle market). Stop passing wrong info. From CBN it's still under 200 naira to a dollar

This is no wrong info. CBN is actually making money from this official exchange rate. Instead of 270 bank will exchange at 196 which mean you lose about N74. They can as well decide to make it N100 to a dollar as official rate which means more suffering

This news is wrong the dollar is now N284 / $1 thus evening.

How will Jonathan increase the price of crude oil in the international market or don't you know that the fall of the naira is mainly due to the fall of oil price?
