JesusDWay: The Nigerian police certificate is valid for 6 months not 3. Although it's written 3 months on the PC, CIC ignores this date and uses 6 months validity date for your current country of residence. 1 Like |

zandora: What CIC said is that it should not have been issued more than 6months prior to submitting e-APR. This does not necessarily imply that a 3months valid PC as stated by the issuing authority will authoritatively be taken by CIC to have a validity of 6months(even if they choose to use what you presented to them) cuz they also said at the discretion of the immigration officer, he/she may request you to send a new PC. You may read the below: Police certificates Purpose To determine if the applicant or their family members has a criminal record or poses a security risk to Canada Document requirements For the applicant’s current country of residence, the PC must have been issued no more than six months before submission of the e-APR. For countries in which the applicant no longer resides, the PC must have been issued later than the departure date of the last time the client resided in that country for more than six months. The PCs are required upfront and mandatory for each country (except Canada) where an individual has lived for six or more months in a row. This instruction is for the purpose of the completeness check under section R10. However, it is always at an officer’s discretion to request a new or additional PC. In some circumstances, CIC must ask for the PC on behalf of the applicant. In others (e.g., New Zealand), a client must complete a consent form to initiate a PC. Specific documents are required of the applicant for such requests and must be submitted as part of the complete application. In exceptional circumstances, CIC may accept proof of having requested a PC for such countries; or a letter of explanation of best efforts (not a guarantee of acceptance). Individuals who must submit this documentation The principal applicant Their spouse or common-law partner Their dependent children 18 years of age or older, including non-accompanying 1 Like |

Hi Guys. I want to ask another question pls? Should i wait till i have the required POF before i submit my EE entry? For example: if i get into the pool today when(time duration) will i be requires to show POF? |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by JesusDWay(m): 3:14pm On Dec 20, 2015 |
jugzy: No you won't. You can go ahead and create your profile while you work towards getting the required amount for yourself or family size as the case may be. Its until after you get ITA that you will have to submit pof, which i believe for now you may not know when that will happen. One of the advantages of having your EE profile now is that an opportunity may show up for a provincial nomination that requires one to have an EE profile which if you don't have at that moment, you wont be able to take advantage of the opportunity |

Thank you Jesusdway. Another question for you pls, if you dont mind. If i get ITA today being Dec 20, does that mean my POF should ve been in my account untouched since June 20? I read somewhere on d thread about d amount being in one's account for 6 months. Its for a family of 4. No you won't. You can go ahead and create your profile while you work towards getting the required amount for yourself or family size as the case may be. Its until after you get ITA that you will have to submit pof, which i believe for now you may not know when that will happen. jugzy: No, that's incorrect. Its a six months bank statement with the current balance being the equivalent of the required amount, not that the balance must be there six months ago. You should get in addition, covering letter from the bank stating that the account is yours and when you opened it 1 Like |

Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by zandora: 1:24am On Dec 21, 2015 |
JesusDWay: They definitely disregard the 3 months date. As you rightly stated the new rule effective April states: 'For the applicant’s current country of residence, the PC must have been issued no more than six months before submission of the e-APR'. Therefore regardless of how many months is written on your PC they'll definitely accept it as long as it was issued in 6 months or less discretion or not, it's the rule. My PC was 5 months old and I had no issue. 1 Like |

Doggys: Same here. Was charged the Naira equivalent of $211.76 which translates to #57,200. Guess that will be the standard price for now. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by SlowlybtSurely: 5:50am On Dec 21, 2015 |
tunai: The 6.5 you had in reading reduced your CRS score by more than 50. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by zandora: 7:45am On Dec 21, 2015 |
tunai: Use the link below http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp As the poster above rightly said, the 6.5 you scored in Reading has made you lose over 50 points. |

FunW: Good morning gurus in the house. Kindly assist on how to link EE profile to Job bank. I opened them independently. Thanks After submitting your EE profile you'll receive a message with an attached pdf. Open the pdf and you'll find a link that'll take you to job bank where you should register and hence get your EE profile linked. Dear Zandoka, I have been checking my yahoo since but I am yet to receive the PDF that will enable me register on job bank. Pls help. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by JesusDWay(m): 12:05am On Dec 22, 2015 |
FunW: You wont get the pdf message in your box. Log into your account and go to the page where your score is displayed, scroll to the bottom where details of your account is displayed, click on it, it will download the pdf for you. You can then open it and use the link to jobbbank provided therein to register your jobbank account |

Hello house! I need to make an inquiry about my wife-to-be's future. Assumption- Let's just say i travelled to Canada via the MPNP-Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program through my uncle's (over there) assistance and i was single then when moving but my fiancee was having my baby in her womb unknown to my uncle(i wouldn't want him to know anyway cuz he'll think im unserious and may stop helping). Though we only did our introduction ceremony before i left for canada and after 2 years there; i came back home(Nigeria) to do the wedding proper and intend to go with my (now-legal)wife and son to canada. How do i go about it concerning my wife and son pls? Hope its understood, anticipating your kind responses. Thanks! |
