A new video has emerged showing Naval officers shooting sporadically to scare away residents from what appears to be a homicide crime scene. In the video, said to have been recorded by an anonymous citizen, it shows officers of the Nigerian Navy shooting to protect the scene of a homicide at Obodoukwu Road by Ogbudike Street in Onitsha, Anambra State. According to residents, the officers shot at a crowd of youngsters who were celebrating the release order of Radio Biafra director, Nnamdi Kanu. The youth, whose body is seen laying in the street was shot and killed. An ambulance is seen appearing at the scene. The corpse is loaded into the vehicle and taken away to an unknown destination. Activists and pro-Biafra groups say that on Thursday, December 17, 2015 Nigerian troops shot and killed five unharmed pro-Biafra protesters who were celebrating the order by an Abuja Federal Court for the unconditional release of Kanu, leader of one of the leading Biafra groups in the country, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Kanu has been in detention for more than 3 months, following his arrest by Nigeria’s secret police, the Department of State for Security Services (DSS). The DSS has disobeyed several court orders for the release of Kanu. Leading human rights group, Intersociety, revealed on Friday that soldiers had stormed the hospital where victims of their shooting were receiving treatment and abducted the wounded and corpses of victims to an unknown destination.

What a shame!!!

Watch as they tried to hide the evidence of their crimes bringing a bucket of water to wash off the blood from the road, not knowing they were being filmed!

The Nigerian Military are gradually losing their humanity...First it was the Shiites now this.....Gosh!!!

This is what some people call a country. What is more fraudulent than this? Killing unarmed youth and covering the crime scene. Tomorrow, they will parade the body as an armed robber. Buhari is a big fraud!!!

cool What the video showed:

1. The video started with what appears to be a dead male body lying on his back in the middle of an untarred street.

2. 4 uniformed officers were at the scene by the body and occasionally shooting into the air in the direction of a street adjacent to the first one.

3. After a while, a police truck arrived with a few more officers.

4. Also arriving on the scene at the same time is an old school (probably Volvo) hatchback.

5. 4 civilians (including the driver) alighted from the hatchback and placed the body in the back of the vehicle.

6. One woman came over from the adjacent street and looked at the body before it was loaded into the vehicle.

7. And this woman appears it seems(I am not very sure of this the audio was bad) to know the victim because it sounded like she was crying in a manner that suggests she knew the victim.

8. The hatchback drove off with the body and the police truck remained in the scene

9. A passerby was told by the cops to lie down on the street and he was beaten with a stick or wood before been told to move along.

10. An officer was shouting 'retreat' before the video finished.

cool Now what the video did NOT show:

1. What happened to the victim. Was he shot? If he was then why? Was he resisting? etc.

2. Any crowd gathered that the cops might be shooting at at the end of the adjacent street.

In order to have a case against the police you have to have evidence (preferably video) that show that he was killed by the cops without provocation, resisting arrest and threatening them. Otherwise, what you have here is just a video of a dead body on the ground. And even if the police admit to killing him UNTIL you are able to prove that it was done without provocation and extra judicially then you have NO case.

Mind you this is not about Pro or Anti ANYTHING - am just stating the facts of the case as we know so far.

What an insensitive false statement you made above.

Was the civilian armed?

How many officers encountered him?

Why were they trying to wash off the blood?

If you are a human right council investigator and prosecutor, you just scored zero

@ Op, have you sent the video to the appropriate quaters like Ipob email to swell our body of evidence in preparation to jail Oga dogs-and-baboons at the ICC? Please also send it to presstv of iran so that they know we southern christians also go through hell in the hands of the sunni military. It will help them direct their anger to the appropriate quaters. Thank you

This video must be uploaded on YouTube and given to CNN BBC PRESSTV Channels AIT etc and the United Nations

Now I know why Nnamdi Kanu is soliciting for weapons.

His call for weapons is to protect his supporters. Since the Nigerian state has refused to respect the UN charter on self determination.
