Buhari Apologies To Nigerians Over Fuel Scarcity, Pump Price To Remain At N87 by DONSMITH123(m): 1:29pm On Dec 22, 2015 |
President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday apologised to Nigerians over the continued fuel scarcity being experienced across the country, blaming the long queues that have returned to fuel stations on the activities of speculators and those resistant to change. Buhari further promised Nigerians that there would be no increase in the pump price of petrol. He made the pledge following fears by Nigerians that the Federal Government may scrap fuel subsidy which will result in an increase in the cost of the premium motor spirit, popularly called petrol. Buhari, while addressing a joint session of the National Assembly during the presentation of the 2016 budget of N6.08 trillion, said the pump price of petrol will remain at N87 “for now”. “Indeed tough decisions must be made but this does not mean that we would increase the level of pains being felt by Nigerians,” he added. Apology ke? His apology is a smokescreen and should resign honourably for having failed in his duty as petroleum minister so that his apologies can be taken seriously. 24 Likes 2 Shares |

Sir, Nigerians are already buying PMS at 120 NGN per litre, even more. Remove the subsidy and let us start from there. 3 Likes |
