Abagworo: Christanity, a western/European religion ke, is this what ur slave masters taught u? Xtanity came to Africa, long b4 it even spread to Europe. In 333A.D, Ethiopia became the first country to proclaim xtanity as a state religion, which is why the Ethiopian Orthodox tewahedo Church is the oldest in the world, go do ur research. And FYI, that image statue you have of Jesus, is Micheal Angelo's Image of "European" Jesus, which is far from what the Jewish looking and brown skinned Jesus looked like. Btw, who told you churches worldwide use Michael Angelo's statue/image of Jesus. |

OTDR: Christianity is a European religion and was made a State religion by Emperor constantine of Rome. When Christ was born Israel was under Roman/Europran empire. The Israelites rejected Christ the founder completely because his ways was blasphemous to Judaism and had to kill him. |

Abagworo:Colonial mentality seemed to have a strong grasp on you . Because christ was born in Israel while it was under Roman Rule doesnt make xtainity a western religion. What emperor Constantine (306 - 337 AD) did was to decriminalize xtain worship in 313 A.D. The edict to even declare a state church for Rome happened in 380 A.D, long after Constantine was gone. Dude, you really need some historical lessons! |

OTDR: Before Constantine Christianity was a secret cult and its members killed once identified. So the 1st time it was recognised as a religion was during Constantine's reign. Christianity is not African, Arabic or Israeli religion till this day. Igbo my ethnic group had our own Gods before Europeans brought their Christianity and forced it on my people. It is same with every African ethnicity. That most have accepted it does not mean you have to claim it originated from Africa or that Jesus is black. The new Jesus picture looks like a Morrocan or Spanish which of course is Caucasian and not Negroid. |
