Does the car run on custom built engine or they simply removed a working engine from a regular car and fixed it into the creative body?

If no, then this is not an invention nor worth pursuing. There is no need reinventing the wheel. If yes, then they are up to something great.

In 1800, this would have been a great technological achievement. In 2015, it is silly. Putting together off-the-shelf parts to make this contraption and call it innovation.

wait, let me try to get you, are you expecting this guy to build a Ferrari-like car before you call it a great technological achievement? with which equipment? this guy made use of what he had and created this, don't you think with more investment on him he could make better ones. pls let our words not be out of sentiment thank you.

Nigeria lost the opportunity for technological advancement by not exploiting the talents of ex Biafran rebels. Buhari can do a lot by assuring people from the South East and South South that Nigeria belongs to all and not the silence in every critical events like the Biafra agitation and Zaria massacre and wishing it will all just go away.

What do you know about the history of technology?.

Here is a picture of the first ever airplane by the Wrights brothers.

Igbos, please copy this message and send to whomever deride your innovations. A journey of a thousand mile begin with a step. Rome was not built in a day.

The first airplane could only be airborne for 20 seconds or so. They kept working on it until we have our airplane of today. Don't give up!.

So what kind of automobile is this

We Rock. We did it in 1967 till 1970 when almost the whole world was against us and never offered any help. We are still doing it still with no assistance. If in doubt.....visit Ojukwu bunker in Umuahia. I'm proud of my root and I don't give a damn in what anybody says

What's in ojukwu bunker that u are bragging about? I ve been there several times. All that is thr are relics of biafra war, pictures of malnourished victims of biafra and whr the coward ojukwu hid himself wen the war was on going.

Who is he trying to impress by building this thing that any university undergraduate can build for their project. Mind you the first Ibo man to build a car full locally made in nigeria happens to be Dr Ezekiel izuogu ,so what's the point of hyping this metal contraption .
The point is the world has moved from the age he is drawing us back to

Sorry o, Imitation is the first step to innovation. While this endeavour looks pkeasing to the eye, it lacks relevance given the technologies being rolled out by firms in other nations. Yesterday, Elon Musk's space x rocket returned to earth successfully after launching 11 satellites into space. I appreciate his craftsmanship but this is not innovative by any means. Holographic displays, autonomous vehicles and artificial intelligence are the way forward. ABEG MAKE WE TRY REDIRECT OUR ENERGIES TO THE FUTURE. BUHARI BUDGET 39.4 bln naira FOR OIL EXPLORATION IN THE 2016 BUDGET WHEN NATIONS DEY PLEDGE TO FUND RESEARCH FOR RENEWABLE ENERGY.

Dude! STFU! Nigeria is Nigeria nothing like Biafra! When we won the world cup....we are Nigeria. When we make great achievements, we are Nigeria. One way or the other every tribes in Nigeria has an influence on one another. The greatness is Nigeria. It is just so plain that you don't know what you want, you are just shouting biafra like a 12 yr old kid who is supporting WWF's Undertaker because people are supporting him.
LONG LIVE NIGERIA!

Rather than trying to create a problem for yourself why don't you solve the existing problem first?

It's a technology in evolution happening in your own eyes!. Every other technology you can think of started of crude like that Aba made automobile. If the engineer get support from government and keep updating his innovation, he would eventually build a commercially viable automobile within the 6th generation of this seemingly crude technology.

Again, the first airplane flew for just 20 seconds or there about, but the engineers didn't give up. The next update flew for about 3 minutes, the third update about 1 hour. From 1hour to 2hours, 5hours, 8hours, 12hours, e.t.c. That's how we got today's airplane.

Pls take that this was done by roadside mechanics who mostly stop at primary school level.

Imagine what they can do if given professional engineering education.

Biafra will be great aswear

please are you saying there are no mechanical engineering graduates of igbo origin? that would be weird.
