State where you school? My friend in Uniport chose and got Edo, remember they are both in the South South.

Maybe you need to go through the Akwa ibom B15 thread. You'll see lots of Southeners there, most of whom schooled in the South south.

Lastly, state where you reside? If that was true, Sandra would definitely be in the North and not Oyo.

Don't rule out the fact this is thing is practically an application on the NYSC system which means you can't have 100% prediction of how posting will be. In some cases, you will have where the method was followed strictly and on some other cases, you will find a contradicting posting. All the same, that was the method we were told that will be used during the last batch mobilization.
Also don't rule out legging as well by PCMs...

NYSC briefing just got started! 1. With effect from 2015 batch B, prospective corp members will now be allowed to select states of their choices... But it must not be the state where ur institution is located or your state of origin or even your geopolitical zone. 2. Only married corp members ar allowed to select any state of dia choice on marital grounds. States with security challenges like borno state can also be selected... But u will only b allowed to spend 3 weeks orientation camp der, afta wich u will b redeployed to anoda state Students above 30 yrs of age ar not eligible to serve Only married women will choose states of dia choices....but married men wud b posted as others Those with life threatening illnesses like cancer,hepatitis, sickle cell will b allowd to choose states of dia choice Note! i quite agree with you, i have 3 frnds who are all from southwest, osun precisely and where all posted to osun, ogun nd ondo respectively.

Legging is different. I believe the only states cancelled are the two mentioned above. I've gone through Oyo, Osun, Kwara, Edo, Akwa ibom, Delta B15 thread and i can boldly say that was what happened. Just the two States, not the whole zone. That was why i made Oyo my first choice despite being a lagos indigene
