binoosmart: Dude.. most of your corrections are wrong.. let me repeat it again is good English, if you are repeating the same thing twice are you not repeating it again?... they are richer than us is also good and they are richer than we is an insult to English.. it's rather they are richer than we are 1 Like |

Gruvychuky: LOL...bae you are somewhat wrong. I know it's a common usage in Lagos, even among seeming graduates. Let me explain: Applying the rule 'on for public transport', 'in for a private transport' - When you travel by bus you sit on the bus. Same with a plane, boat and train. I'd use "on" to indicate that I am currently a passenger on a bus/train/plane on the bus = travelling by bus. In the/a bus = location inside the bus. It's safe to say, I am on a bus. I am in my car 1 Like |

My ex will be like, ' I want to REPAIR the bed before sleeping'. And I'd be like, 'why REPAIR the bed? Is it broken? I'd begin to imagine spanners and screwdrivers and hammers and pliers in her hands. |

TPAND:It's Me is the correct answer, what will determine your answer is the CASE in which ME and I falls i.e Subjective case or Objective case, Since "Me" fall into subjective case,Me is the correct answer. |

ailehwise:Gbagaun! Just kidding. lol But seriously, there is nothing like 'most simplest'. That's a grammatical blunder. It's 'simplest'. The use of double superlatives is wrong in English language. So, you should have said 'is the simplest' and not 'is the most simplest'. Cheers. 1 Like |

stolid: But even 'opportune' is an adjective, and not a verb as used in the phrase above. Saying "if I were OPPORTUNE to..." is like saying "if I were WALKED to" since you've used opportune as though it was a verb. The best word that fits into your construction is 'privileged', not "opportune." Example of how opportune is used as an adjective is: "If not for Buhari's OPPORTUNE victory at the polls, Nigeria would've become uninhabitable under the PDP-led government." 1 Like |
