The truth is that Jesus Christ was not born on Christmas day. Celebration of Christmas is not scriptural but there is nothing wrong, just like other holidays, if the world set aside a day to reflect and celebrate the birth of Christ. Though not the day and time He was born but the weather, atmosphere and all around bring special warmth to everyone. Since it is not a commandment from God to celebrate Christmas, those who do not celebrate should not be seen as apostates. Like my church celebrate christmas but her chapels are closed for any form of worship on that day except that day coincides with sunday- a day of worship. Finally, I want to say it is fun to join in the celebrations!

Some parents alive today cannot tell you the exact date of their birth, but whichever date they chose to take is never questioned. Bible said what you agreed here on earth is also agreed in heaven. Since Christians have decided to celebrate christ birth every 25 Dec, it is also celebrated in Heaven. Trust me
taaaah u lie. Which celebration in heaven. U see am for bible?

My question actually doesn't demand yes or no. However I get your point and I would like to point out that though that can be done when you're celebrating that birthday in another month will you say that month is your birthday or the month you chosed to celebrate it due to logistics? Won't you say the actual birthday month for clearification? How much more this is a christian and universal matter

hmmn very well but we have to bear in mind that the Actual Date of his Birth is unknown...Every thing is based on speculations ??

imagine if the Dec 25th is not fixed unanimously as Christmas day..Would u rather have each denimation and church celebrate Christmas based on their individual assertion and Doctrine ??

umca celebrate on 3rd of June.Ecwa April 6.winners Nov 2.redemmed August 4

thus we shld remember that the sole purpose of The Dec 25 date of Christmas celebration is to ensure unity and uniformity rather than align with historical Facts and researches.

The message in the event is more important than the date. Sometimes I don't celebrate my bday on the same day I was born. If it falls into a saturday for instance I can celebrate with my co-workers on Monday. Does it cancle or rule out the fact that its still my birthday? My grand mother doesn't know her birthday, is it a crime if we give her a day in the year and start celebrating her that day in every year, just to make a day her special day.

Forget all those Jehovah Witness arguments that doesnt change any man and lets look at how to use the season to promote the person of Christ. In case you don't know, Christmas is one event that reminds Muslims and many others that Jesus remains a global force world over
This is wonderful bro.. I'm inclined to subscribe to your point cool

why celebrate the death of a living person??

are you a Jehovah's witness
Sarang:

Because after he celebrated the passover with his disciples on Nisan 14.

He instituted the remembrance or memorial of his death.

He replaced the passover with his remembrance.

Why?
Because the passover reminds the isrealites of the deed that [b]Jehovah[b/] did to save them from egypt.
In this celebration, the blood of an unblemished lamb was normally shed. In this regard,Christ was for us the one and only unblemished lamb who took away our sins once and for all times.

But it is not popular,I doubt if anyone celebrates his death.
Why?
Because the World does only what the devil wishes since it is lying in his hands.(1jon 5:19)

Hope you understood me.

You need not argue with them. State what the Bible says concerning idolatry. And if they have chosen to adulterate pure worship to God with a firm of idolatry.... Let them be.

We don't have to engage in any fruitless argument. Our good conduct is already a witness which the world knows all over.

Bible quiz: Where can we find the birth certificate of Jesus Christ?
Re: Was Jesus Born On Christmas Day? by Xjack04(m): 12:57pm On Dec 25, 2015
I am one of Jehovah 's witnesses and
I don't celebrate Christmas, with the following
reasons :
Jesus commanded that we commemorate his death,
not his birth.—Luke 22:19, 20. Jesus’ apostles and early
disciples did not celebrate
Christmas. The New Catholic Encyclopedia says that
“"the Nativity feast was instituted no earlier than
243 [C.E.],"” more than a century after the last of the
apostles died.
There is no proof that Jesus was born on December 25; his
birth date is not recorded in the Bible.
We believe that Christmas is not approved by God
because it is rooted in pagan customs and rites.—2
Corinthians 6:17.
Why make Christmas an issue?
Many still celebrate Christmas despite knowing about its
pagan roots and lack of support from the
Bible. Such persons could ask: Why should
Christians take such an unpopular stance? Why
make it an issue?
The Bible encourages us to think for ourselves, to
use our “"power of reason."” (Romans 12:1, 2) It teaches us
to value the truth. (John 4:23, 24) So
while we are interested in how others view us, we
adhere to Bible principles even if it means that we
become unpopular.
Although we choose not to celebrate Christmas
ourselves, we respect each person’s right to decide for
himself in this matter. We do not interfere in the
Christmas celebrations of others.

Actually his death was more important.
If Jesus choosed not to die after been born mankind will not be saved.

This is in accordance with what the book of ecl said, the day of one's DEATH is better than the day of birth...

Jesus even said"Keep doing this in remembrance of me..

If dia was no birth dia will b no death.... Jesus didn't have a choice, he lived to die... His main reason to earth was to redeem mankind... listen in Luke 22 vs 42 clearly stated in "

New Living Translation
"Father, if you are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.... Jesus knew His reason for been born was to die, ma dear appreciate God for d birth of christ cox his birth was all about his death.... let's not confused scriptures. One love

Jesus had a choice.

Everyone be it spirit or human have a choice.
He wants to do his father's will because he loved his father and we can imitate him. Is Jehovah's will for us to celebrate christmas with the World?

I more of appriciate his death,if he had rebeled or simply didn't wanna do it. There's nothing you or I can do about it.

It was not an obligation for him to die for us.
He could have done otherwise.
It is a privilege to us.
Please don't say he never had a choice.
He did and he choosed to save us.

Re: Was Jesus Born On Christmas Day? by Maximus85(m): 1:18pm On Dec 25, 2015
Satan is wicked and deceptive. He uses good and normal things to deceive us into sinning. The apple eaten by eve was GOOD for food. He deceived Eve. He tried using something holy to deceive Jesus in the wilderness, He used food, he also used the Bible to support his deception but Jesus was wiser.

Today Satan is using so many good things to make us sin; Money, love, material things, Celebrations etc.

God has lovingly advised us to seek what is of the spirit and pay less attention to things of the flesh. In today's world the opposite is what's acceptable.

Birthday is idolatry. Studies has shown that the main believe behind this celebration is idol worshiping, the gifts and candles involved is a clear indication. They believed that there is a spirit that protects a person from birth. The birthday gifts given to the celebrant is a sacrifice to that spirit. Especially the cake and candles.

Has anyone ever wondered why none of God's prophets, Jesus himself, any of his disciples and first century Christians ever celebrates any birthday?
In the Bible, the only two people who celebrated birthdays are chronic idol worshipers.

So, because the world is following this path, should we all follow. They have brought in idolatry into Christianity and we have accepted without thinking or applying what the scripture says. —2 Corinthians 6:17.

What is more important, our own made ways of serving God or the way God himself have stated in the scripture?

If you want to celebrate Christmas, fine and good but you need to know the dark origin of the celebration.

“When we give or receive Christmas gifts, and hang green wreaths in our homes and churches, how many of us know that we are probably observing pagan customs?”—The Externals of the Catholic Church

Answer that first.

I doubt if anyone knows the precise birth date. It is just a day agreed to mark the celebration of the birth of Christ. By the way, some folks think it has a pagan origin of some sort. They may be right or wrong, what matters is that anything done in the name of the Lord on any day overrides what ever event is being honoured on that date because just as Christ is Lord over sabbath, so is He Lord over any other day or season.
