1. Fill a strangers tank with gas.
I know it does cost a little bit of money, but how happy would you feel if someone in line in front of you at the gas station came up to you and said, “I want to fill your tank with gas to let you know you are loved by God.” Would that brighten you spirit and set a wonderful tone for the rest of your day? It sure would mine!

2. Pay for a seniors prescriptions (a friend. neighbor, or stranger) in the pharmacy line.
So many of our seniors are on fixed incomes and when Christmas rolls around they simply don’t have any room left in their budget for any gifts or even a special dinner. Imagine their surprise when you pay and free up some of their money for a Christmas treat! This is also a good opportunity to let them know they are loved by God as well!

4. If you see a mum struggling with kids and her arms are full, offer to help.
I actually believe you should do this year round, but especially at Christmas time. Sometimes mums have a hard time accepting help when it’s offered. However, at Christmas, nerves get frazzled, kids are spazzed out on sweets and spoils from grandparents and mums could use a little extra support.

5. Invite your friends or family over for Christmas dinner.

Keep the expense low but the moment memorable and fun. The important thing is just to get together with people you love and make the day a little brighter by sharing the warmth of caring with them. Consider making a traditional Christmas dinner complete with roast turkey, or create your own traditions by branching out and making whatever you want!

What ways are you sharing love this Christmas?

Millions who celebrate the holiday do not put
faith in him; some do not even believe that he
existed. In the commercial world, Christmas
has become a holiday to advertise goods rather
than an occasion to remember Jesus.
Christmas is nothing but a pagan festival covered with a Christian
veneer. Christmas, therefore, dishonour God and his Son, Jesus Christ. Should we then handle this as a trivial
matter? The Bible asks: “What fellowship do
righteousness and lawlessness have? Or what sharing does light have with
darkness?” ( 2 Corinthians 6:14) Like the trunk of a tree that has grown crooked,Christmas is so twisted that it “cannot be made straight.”—

silly you. go and read about the origin of that Bible you are carrying about and you will discover that the Pope and Catholic bishops were the ones that compiled it into the book you call Bible today.

stop being naive and believing everything your pastor or elder tell you.

you can do your own research online.

They compiled books that where already existing into one book abi!
What is the extraordinary thing that was done.
How was it compiled by you guys.
And is the compilation the reason for establishing a non biblical celebration on Dec 25th ?
Re: Is Celebrating Christmas Wrong ? by vinceton: 4:16pm On Dec 25, 2015
The fact that a celebration is popular does not make it right. Christmas celebration is not biblical. That a group of Christians resolved to pick a date for it does not, make it a Christian celebration approved by God. The scriptures encourage us not to add to the bible or subtract from it. Christmas is a pagan celebration please.

Appleyard:
No matter how well we try to make an unbiblical act acceptable, it will never be acceptable. The bible made it clear that ''...all liars shall have their own part in the lake of fire''...REV.21 vs 8, vs 27. The Roman Catholic Church, as part of their creeds and dogmas, maketh a lie, eshrined it as a doctrine, and enforced it on the rest of mankind, as at when Rome was ruling the world. It was a lie that was made to be accepted as truth, but God does not change his standards to suit anyone, or accomodate any practise contrary to His word. God hate lies, and the Roman Catholic Church lied when it said and indoctrinated it's followers and much of the world that, Jesus was born on the 25th of December, when it is not. The bible clearly said that ''shepherds were in the field watching over their flock by night''. You can't be in the field under SNOW watching over flocks in the chilling December. It was a big lie, and, irrespective of whatever it was meant to achieve, justifying the christmas lie, is tantamount to accepting lie as a norm of worship, and therefore, unsinful. But thank God, it can never be. For a lie is a lie. The truth remain truth! Therefore, all those who created this lie, and those that takes pleasure in celebrating this lie, even knowingly, are guilty of the same offence. Romans 1 vs 32.

The only thing Jesus asked us to do in rememberance of him, is the Lord's Super. Luke.22 vs 19, not his birth.

The choice to live the truth or to live the lie, is now yours to make.

The OP has done a good job by quoting from 14:5-6. It is your choice whether to what to celebrate Christmas or not and how you decide to celebrate it. It does not matter whether Roman Catholic chose a wrong date falsely.

The reason any date is selected for religious celebration does matter. Is it because it was convenient or ordained or because it could merge with other religious celebration.

The mode/method of church celebration is also important. Are the method or ways in which it is celebrated found in the scriptures or in pagan religion.

Thank you for your wonderful contribution. Yes, God hate lies, but the bible did not mention the day Jesus was born, chosen December 25 to celebrate Jesus does not mean "its a lie" it is just choice.

Christians Lerders who first celebrate Christmas never compromise it with
paganism, They may simply have wanted to celebrate the birth of Jesus. However, modern scholars generally agree that the date they chose for Christmas was influenced by a pagan celebration on or about that same date honoring the “Invincible Sun.”

How much freedom do Christians have in the new covenant, either individually or as a church, to express their faith, worship and thanks toward Christ in forms not found in the Bible? May church leaders establish special days to celebrate the great acts of salvation? “Once pagan, always pagan” is the way
some people reason.

Malachi 4:2
2 But for you who revere my name, the
sun of righteousness will rise with
healing in its rays. And you will go out

Christians who keep Christmas are not pagans. They do not worship nor regard pagan gods. They honor Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. It is true that certain customs attached to December 25 are practiced in a pagan spirit by many people. But a truly Christian observance of Christmas does not include drunkenness, fornication, carousing or any other conduct unworthy of saints. After all the entrance of Jesus into the world cause a GREAT JOY OF CELEBRATION IN HEAVEN in Luke 1:46–2:38.

Sunday was set apart in commemoration of the Lord's resurrection. Millions do all kind of stuff on Sunday, this does not subtract the fact that the day is set aside to commemorate Resurrection. Scriptures themselves have been abused to justify Inquisition, Crusades, slavery, colonialism, wars, executions....and I have heard eloquent arguments against Christianity on this account. Proclaiming his death should be our utmost priority,I observe he anniversary of christ death,to me it is the greatest expression of love ever, which I appreciate. Besides,
on the night before he died, Jesus INSTRUCTED
his disciples to commemorate the sacrifice that
he was about to make. He told them:“Keep
doing this in remembrance of me.”— Luke
22:19.

It is important we please God in EVERYTHING we do.
The Bible encourages us to think for ourselves,
to use our “power of reason.” ( Romans 12:1, 2)
It teaches us to value the truth. (John 4:23, 24)
,if we follow every band wagon of customs, tradition and celebrations around us....would we be showing that we are worshipping God in "TRUTH"?
So it very important, we adhere to Bible principles even if it
means that we become unpopular.

Whether you like it or. not the truth is the truth. In rev.22, it is stated in clear term that who so ever adds or subtract from the law is liable to punishment.
for God to conceal that day from the sight of men is a sign of displeasure God has for that day as well as it's irrelevance. If you re a good philosopher please kindly think about this critically. The death of Christ was opened for commemoration showing God's pleasure and honour in it. lets think about this carefully. Just like you said 'it's a matter of choice whether or not to be save...Noble loves you all and wants you to be save!

I know for sure that if Jesus had died like the Hitlers, the Judas, the notorious robber on the left hand side no one will come here and celebrate him. They would rather insult him or curse the day he was born. It is his death that made his birth significant. If not.................... But I know what to do........

Jesus was not born on December 25th, it may have been implied so but we know it is not true.
Jesus' date of birth is irrelevant as is the date of his death. What is important is his birth and death and of course resurrection.

Christmas celebrates his birth, God/Word made flesh.

One may choose to major on minors such as church seating arrangement, choir, lighting, instruments in a church gathering, or major on the major; FELLOWSHIP.

Likewise on Christmas am least interested in Christmas tree, lighting, Santa and other minors. I wisely choose to focus on Christ , God manifested in the Flesh. I have little tolerance for pettiness cool

Please study 1 Corinthians 8 and tell me whether you'd stumble over food freshly offered to pagan deities

At least you can tell your children the truth from the bold. When i was a child, i was told Jesus was born on 25th dec thats why we celebrate his birthday. I grown up and discovered i was made to believe a lie for many years. Of course you can choose to celebrate anyday as special day for you. But the historical bitter truth of this December 25th is unchanged. Its not how you want it but how God wants it. Do you choose for God or He chooses for you? This so-called festival you now call Christmas is even older than Christianity itself. Its just the name and traditions that were modified. Thesame way Muhammad try to used the Meccan pagan shrine to be Gods holy site. We cant force God to accept things. In the bible. We see how God rejects some people who were so sure in thier heart that their sacrifice /offerings will go straight to God. But got dissapointed. We cant say God is pleased with Christmas or He is not pleased with it. We know for sure that. Man cant choose for God. And Christmas was a feast created by man and then tagged Jesus with it.

Thank you. And If it was possible for them to tempered the word of God. They could have by all means inserted Christmas and some of the Catholic traditions. But they couldn't do that. God promised in several scriptures in the psalms that He will presarve His Word. Thats how the compilation came about. Of a truth, there is nothing extraordinary about it.
